- Is your converted ET-2720 driving you nuts with wrong colors?
In this video I will show you how to get your converted Epson sublimation prints to match your screen colors with some settings changes and a tiny bit of color theory. Mac users will also learn how to find and fix a possible bad printer driver that only makes things worse.
I have an ET-2720 I converted for sublimation using Hiipoo ink four months ago. No matter what I did, I could not get the right colors to print using Hiipoo's ICC profile for this printer. I was ready to give up and buy a more expensive purpose built machine.
If you are willing to spend some time, a few sheets of sublimation paper, and work through some test sublimations on polyester fabric, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the results.
This video builds on Angie Holden's Sublimation Printer Settings and Manual Color Correction video for Windows users • Sublimation Printer Se... .
this is perfect thank you so much for the step by step theres so many people now a days just with holding information to get you to watch multiple videos to find the answer i love how all the information is all here.. thank you!!
Thank you for the kind words!
Omg Ty ty Ty I’ve been searching videos up and down for Mac settings and you were the only one I found that explained why I wasn’t getting the option button so ty so much
I'm happy it helped you out. 😀
Thank you so much!!!
Melinda!!! Thank you for this video! All the other videos are from 2 years ago and none of the settings on the screen matched with what I have on my mac. You explained the why and the how so that I could understand. Doing things just cuz someone said so doesn't really jive with me. I have to understand it to actually learn a process. I feel like you should remake every video out there that is from over a year ago. I will be watching everything you have out there!
Thank you for the kind words. I am so happy this helped you out.
Melanie Thank You! Your screen was not available from Epson for me. I struggle with my ET2720. They are not the greatest support group, as I told them my laptop did not have access for disc. Now I find most of my problem with lines is the wireless (air) bluetooth....I love your video,Thanks!
If you're on a Mac and you don't see what I showed, you may have the airprint driver installed. If you're on Windows, check out Angie Holden's video that I liked in the description
Excellent explanation. Lots of good tips, especially screenshotting your settings. I don't do sublimation but I do have a problem with my Brother Laser printer being too blue. You've given me some ideas on how to tinker with. Thanks!
Happy to help and glad you found it useful.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Thank you. 🙂
Thank you so much!!! This really helped me fix mine! If using the hiipoo brand ink, do you recommend doing the icc download at all? I couldn’t find my printer and downloaded a similar one but I hate how the colors are coming out. I don’t know if I just did something wrong when downloading. What’s your opinion on that?
I'm so happy this helped you. When I made this video I tested the Hiipoo icc for my model and even a few other printer models. I was left wondering if the Hiipoo folks are color challenged! I found I had the best results with the Adobe RGB profile. I know some folks prefer the Epson Vivid settings, but for me they were a little too over the top. I tweaked the Adobe RGB profile in the print dialog color settings to bump up saturation and brightness, and reduce yellow a little bit. I use the same settings on my new ET-15000, which also has Hiipoo ink. The results between the two printers have been very consistent.
@@MelindaAKraft you’re amazing! Thank you so much!!
Are tweeking whats printing? I bought etsy files that dont print has they should. Thats in my print settings? They are always to dark not always color being off.
Fixing a wrong driver and/or doing color correction might help.
