Thanks for watching. If it’s a baby, you might find tissue paper with blocks, rattles, etc…baby things (or maybe even napkins like for a baby shower or boy birthday.) For a toddler boy, you might use cars and trucks or anything the child is interested in. Even just leafy branches or shapes if you don’t want to go the typical “kid” route. Try a google or Pinterest search for “decor for boys” to get some more ideas. You’ll hit on something, then find some tissue, napkins, or even take your own photos that you can print on collage tissue like you do with the portrait.❤️
It was a gift wrapping tissue paper. I think one side was shinier than the other and I printed on the duller side. Nothing special. I have however also printed on deli paper with good results. It takes longer for the ink to dry on deli paper since it isn’t as absorbent as tissue.
To hopefully prevent bleeding, I placed the print side down against the substrate. That worked out well. If you have a subject that you don’t want reversed, flip the image horizontally in your phone or printing software before you print it. Then when you place it print side down, it will be oriented the way you want it 👍

I have always found success with my inkjet prints if I put a thin layer of matte medium in my gel plate and “pulling” the matte medium with the copy
That’s a good idea. I didn’t have any bleeding by just applying the printout print side down with matte medium. Thanks for the suggestion.

Did you place the print side of the girl image upside down or right side up on the canvas.
