  • Daria Kasatkina Blasts French Open Crowd for Booing: 'It's Not Fair' #shorts #tennis
Russian tennis star Daria Kasatkina blasted the French Open crowd for booing her after her defeat from Ukrainian Elina Svitolina in the third round of the tournament on Saturday. Kasatkina, who was born in Moscow, was booed by the crowd when she took to the court for her match against Svitolina, who is from Ukraine. The two players have been vocal in their support for Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February, and Kasatkina said that she was "hurt" by the crowd's reaction. "I didn't expect this," Kasatkina said after the match. "I'm a tennis player, I'm not a politician. I'm here to play tennis, and I'm here to do my best. I don't think it's fair to boo me."

Why make us fools. In this tournament they proposed that no Russian reach the final, especially Sabalenka.
Sabalenka was annoyed in many ways, especially with the press conferences; The war did not start yesterday, but this time they were attacking her for no reason, she is an athlete, she is not a politician, she is not a military man, etc., but they made her feel uncomfortable, and to complete the match against Muchova, the stands were more hysterical than never, and all that affects any player.
On the other hand, they gave Iga pure muffins, in fact, Much was just a springboard to give the Polish a tournament, which has already been seen that with real rivals, she even ends up retiring from the matches.

Fans are the most worst when it comes to respecting players, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, fans at the courts seat side will always forever THINK they know how to play the game saying stupid sh!t like oh why did he/she hit that kind of shot when they could have gone down the line(or cross court) blah blah blah. Instead of just enjoying the matches, they feel that just coz they “paid” to watch that they have the “right” to boo or talk down on the players, to me that’s more disrespectful then what the players do or agree to do on the court. And it’s worse for home court advantage(they’ll favour their countries favourite player) and be bias. Daria is right in saying “don’t spread hate”. Which is why these fans needs to just STFU and enjoy the matches.

And they booed Dasha because they incorrectly assumed that she snubbed the handshake, when actually Dasha's nod and wave walking away from the net was very respectful and the absolute best possible way a Russian athlete could respect Ukrainian players' decision not to shake hands. But the French crowd are not very knowledgeable about issues like this in tennis, so they often boo players who do not deserve it.
