Why don't you use the upgraded stuff? For example, at 1:14 you see between the weapon that you selected and the WEAPONS tab there are different levels of weapons. There's like a stream with one wave and a stream with two waves, and the one with two waves is better!
molehills do 50 damage and you can shoot them like a normal shot. So you actually had a decent weapon.
