I think I would put the couch under the window and the two new chairs where the couch currently is. Love the look though, and yes a round coffee table or a round ottoman cocktail table would work really well as well. Good job.

You need a clothesline prop pole! A simple long 2x2 with a notch cut in the end or a bent nail that you put under your cothesline where it droops and you push it up and it props the line up ! My Mom used to hang all our clothes and I tried it for awhile. My first childs cloth diapers looked so pretty and smelled so good hanging on the line!! By the fourth child, I was totally using disposables!!! LOL !!!

Love the new layout. There's nothing wrong with the green curtains. Love them. I've always been told green is a neutral color. If you think about it, green goes with every color flower in nature. Can't get more neutral than that. Green goes with everything.

I was going to mention that the dogs' nails can put holes in the couch. The ability to keep it clean is so easily done by just wiping it clean. To shine it up a little use a leather cleaner. I love how you enjoy changing up your rooms. I feel that I have to check your videos all the time to see what next adventure you will be on. You make what you do SO VERY interesting!

Karrie, your new sofa is beautiful! As for the location, I would put it against the window in the living room, plus your new chairs would give more space. Personally, I would put some more attractive cushions on the sofa and change the curtains for lighter ones that match the cushions, that I pointed out to you. I think you need to experiment with color combinations to get more out of your furniture and your beautiful house. You asked for opinnions and I gave mine very affectionately and respectfully.

Me too! I don’t like see a couch up against a window or a bed. Of course if that’s your only option then do what cha gotta do. But I am so glad to see you get leather, it will last you a lifetime if you take care of it. I really would try and keep the dogs off though because they will scratch it all up and there nails! Don’t EVER use anything on it to clean it other then products made for real leather, that will also dull I and mess it up. I thought if te couch was back where it was then you could put a chair on each side. I also have a lift up coffee table and absolutely love mine to. I think you would regret it if you got rid of it! For the bed 🛌 could you put it on the wall where the tv is ??????

  • @NoYesJess
    @NoYesJess Před 3 měsíci

Yes I think when the chairs come in, putting the couch near the window and the chairs opposite of the couch would look great. It creates a more conversational space. And if/when you get bored of it, if u put the couch back where the old one originally was (near the entry way) you should have more room to pull it back it a bit more since this couch isn't as large as the old one....which may make your living room feel more spacious!!🖤🖤

Make your own headboard girl! If you like the cane look you can buy pieces of it online. Maybe fabric covered? It’s like recovering a chair. You can do it! ❤
Love the new living room layout. It feels more open. Better energy flow. My only reservation would be if you watch lots of tv in the living room. Would this be uncomfortable? Love your green curtains. And I definitely like the black and cane dining room set in your space. Both tables are great but the new one just looks so nice in your space and with the rug. 😊

The "new" dining table fits better, especially size-wise, in my opinion. Love everything about the sofa: size, color, texture; the room looks instantly more elegant, bold move! Would go for corduroy velvet (pin)stripes throw pillows or linen pillows with wider stripes in more natural lighter colors: adds more depth, I think.

Have you ever heard of the walking pad? Your treadmill is pretty compact, but something like this could easily be stored under your bed.

I think a round Ottoman will look great. They have a lot of them on Amazon for cheap. Mine has storage. I bought one that was tufted and a good size for my dog who jumps off the bed. I just ended up giving that to my granddaughter because I needed another one that was smaller because I changed my bed around. I have an Italian leather couch and my dog goes up there all the time I’ve had it for three years. He’s never poked a hole in it. I love the green curtains. I think the layout looks good, but like another viewer suggested, try it by the window. You did a great job.

I would ditch the treadmill and get a workout mirror. I think you did the right thing using the desk as a side table. I did this in my bedroom and I don’t regret it. It’s perfect and multifunctional. I would suggest putting the desk on the opposite side of the bed. To balance the “weight of the furniture in the room. And if it fits maybe instead of the tall dresser do a lower sitting 2 drawer dresser and use that as the end table on the other side of the bed getting rid of the night stands all together or place the dresser in your closet to give yourself more floor space in the room. Hope that helps

As a rule I always use white bedding. There are some beautiful white textured bedspreads out there, just have to look. For a pop of color I add colorful pillows in front of my white pillows. My walls are painted a beautiful dark gray, which makes the bedding pop. Have you thought about getting a wider, shorter dresser for your bedroom if you’re planning on keeping the dresser in front of the window. IKEA has great dressers with deep drawers and their prices are reasonable. Love your channel! 💕💕

My suggestion for the awkward space in your bedroom is to one day work on making a new entry point to your bedroom. Moving the door may help in the long run, but I know it will require some work to do that (sheetrocking, possibly move some electrical, and then retexturing your walls if you have textured walls).

Just a thought, what about getting some heavy duty, outdoor canvas sides to hang around your carport. This way you can at least enclose it as a workout space. You can put a big fan out there in the summer and a heater in the winter. It may be a good temporary solution until you can have it professionally done. I think a round coffee table would be stunning! ❤

Definitely leave couch facing fireplace. Cou can watch tv easier and doesn’t cover up bookcase. Leave green curtains. Look beautiful. Absolutely no round coffee table. Keep the new dining table. It is gorgeous❤️

Looks great! But maybe angle the couch to open the room up and make room for the chairs. Point to facing the TV and the window, leaving the HVAC vent open behind the couch

Your sofa is nice, I think it is perfect for the space. I wouldn’t change the green curtains, I think they look beautiful.

Please DO NOT remove the green curtains Karrie. They make the space. I don't know why but I've always loved them. The couch is stunning. Congrats on the new addition. I think an oval coffee table would be nice.

I think the sofa would look great by the window. Arm chairs won’t completely close off the space by the hallway.❤

Thanks for the motivation and chatting. I've had the blahs lately. It's been so rainy lately that it doesn't help. Maybe yall could add a small office / exercise room. love the couch.

I love your bedding choices. I think you need to use that no sew tape to hem your curtains so they are just above the floor. Gives it a really clean high end look.

Hi Karrie! Your new couch looks great. I think the couch on the window wall will look better. Keep the curtains and bring in green pillows.

I was so glad to see you get new bedside tables, your old ones were too big for the space. But we didn’t get to see the final bedroom! Also, I almost reached out and grabbed those clear glass lamps for you when you were at Target 😂 Your current bedroom lamps are too big for the space, as is your coffee table in the living room. I think a smaller round one would be darling. Love your new couch, the color is awesome and keep the green curtains I love them.

First of all, love the braids! You look so cute! 😂
Second, I like your newest dining room set. It really makes the space look classy ... grown up?
Third, your new couch is really nice. Stream lined. 👌
Moving it to the side, with the intention of having your two new chairs by the windows is a great idea. Your entryway is finally open now! It opens up the space between the living room and the dining area.
You can always decide which side you want the couch when the chairs arrive.
Fourth, if your coffee table serves your family well, hang on to it.
All in all, this was fun. I'm amazed at how much your style has evolved since you first moved into this house. I'm impressed.
Want to know what else impresses me ?
You have actually read this far.😂
I look forward to your next video.

I think your Living Room area looks great. I would keep the green curtains for a pop of color. I love the couch where it is, I was worried at first that it would be harder to watch tv.❤

Hi Karrie! I love all your content and you are so relatable and down to earth. You have a beautiful home and family. Whatever you come up with in your headboard and bedroom, I’m sure it is going to look beautiful. It definitely takes time to get rooms exactly how we want them. I love how the curtains look in your bedroom. I love that look. Almost like a pleated look. Looks very elegant. Yes, I wake up wanting to change things up too! 😝 You hit some really nice things at Target and you actually did hit the jackpot pot. 😝 I love love how the living room turned out and love the gallery wall behind the couch. Everything looks so nice and cozy. Can’t wait to see the 2 chairs. I love the layout like this. You did a great job. This is the best and my favorite the living room has ever looked!!! It looks so high end and so elegant!!!! I agree, u do think a round coffee table would be nice as well! Love it all! Thanks for sharing. 😊🥰

I like the couch facing the tv, the other way makes the room look smaller. You could put one chair in front of the window and one where the couch is now. Also with leather furniture and pets be prepared for scratches on the leather and possibly holes from claws.

That's funny you mentioned the time change. I'm watching this on the Monday after the time change and I am TIRED! I can't stop yawning. I flopped around all night and couldn't sleep. I do not like the time changes at all! Your house looks great by the way!! 😁
