That “tough love” statement…I dated a person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder and he lived and died by that statement. He felt God put him on earth to show others tough love. I used to ask him who was in place to give tough love to him, because he was not perfect. He would just give me a blank stare. It was completely dismissed. She played victim the whole show. Being the mediator you have to get on both. If not, one will feel more important than the other as if they do no wrong. And that's just what happened in this case.
