The man in the video clearly hasn't done something like this before. if you open your beer on of these ways, always push on the cap, not beat on it, it will ruin your beer.
well for starters, the thumbnail picture you have up is of a bottle thats twist off, so you should probably just do that.

legit just did that, ran inside and forgot to grab one lmao, i bust my knuckles while trying to use the flat end of a marker, later watched this and tried it with my scissors and that worked out xD

I was at my house with a 12 pack of corona on my off day and no bottle opener. First, I panicked then I watched this video for 57 seconds and found a way for me. The door frame works like a charm and they are everywhere in your house. This video helped a lot. 🙏

let me tell y'all a little story: it was christmas eve, the year was 2014. after a delightful meal with my family which included lots of alcoholic beverages, i go to bed at around 2:30AM. feeling pretty tipsy, i go to get myself a beer in the cellar. when i get back to my room, i realise i've got no bottle opener. i try to be creative; spoon? didnt work. table? didnt work. lighter? didnt work. so i grab a pair of scissors.
long story short, the scissors slipped and cut my thumb to the bone. after bleeding profusely for about 45 minutes, i manage to stop the bleeding. long story made even shorter, i'd cut the tendon in my thumb clean through and needed surgery and a cast to keep my thumb in place so i wouldn't use the tendon, in case it snapped again after the surgery. my left hand was useless to me for about three months.
so moral of the story, in the case of a missing bottle opener, i now either use my teeth or just don't drink the beer.

Don't do the one with the brick, I did it once and the top broke off causing pieces of glass to fall into my beer.. Little pieces of glass inside your throat isn't very pleasant... :/
Thank you for saving me from a headache and cuts on my hands. I always had trouble doing this because i lost my opener and never really buy beers needing any type of openers. So i always tried with a lighter or coin and i always cut my self or can never get it right. I tried the putting the cap on the edge of a counter or desk and hitting the top of the cap down while holding the bottle and you dont even have to hit it hard and it opens with ease! Thank you so much!

The door frame is the best way to open a bottle. I used to do the same thing with soft drink bottles when they were too hard to open. It takes me back growing up in Oz

Use a key or coin to push up the edges, going round the whole lid until you're easily able to just twist it, and then use the brick wall method but a little gentler and it'll pop right off!

So the year is 2020. I’m quarantining and covid -19 had me trapped in the house 24/7. I order Uber eats and only can choose from bottled drinks. GLASS BOTTLES. A lot of these tricks don't work with "actual" beers. Most of the beers in the video have twist off bottle caps, so the cap isn't as tight to the bottle as with a normal beer. And yeah, I don't think beers should have twist off caps.

I just tried with a coin, and the sharp edge of cap cut my finger! Ouch! For safety, just use bottle opener. Don't risk your finger!
I tried with a key one time and I also cut my finger as the edge of the key went flying past the cap after putting so much pressure.
I tried a screwdriver recently with a different bottle, which I got open after fiddling for around 5 minutes as I began gradually opening up the edges of the cap. I still don't recommend this approach.
