    cant believe nobody made it this clear and simple, was looking at the hue but all i see is tv stuff I dont mind getting it cause of the bridge but there are no special effects like govee, the hue isnt what i thought it would be. govee got clips where you can mount them anywhere hue only got for the tv. looks like govee are for aesthetics while hue is for movie watchers. thanks man.

    Thank you for the video! Great explanation. I have a question. I currently have full hue setup for my living room, but I upgraded my tv to 77 inch and it's hard to find philips gradient strip in Malaysia. If I were to buy Govee T2 as my tv backlight, I should be able sync both systems with my tv, right?

    I use both and like the price of Govee but remote access of the hue. I am a firefighter and am away from home for extended periods of time. I cannot view my Govee hydrometers when not on the same WiFi. I can turn my hue lights on and off when at work and monitor temperature with my HomePod mini. I want to be able to view my Govee products when at work, do you have a solution?

    My opinion will be based on light switches. I don't always want to have to say what lights I want on or off. I want the option to manually turn them 0n/Off.

    I have Hue and Govee and both are equal. Govee is a excellent lighting system and in some aspects superior to Hue. I've been using Hue for a few years but only their white bulbs because I didnt think that I would like the mood lighting. I decided to try mood lighting a couple of months ago and I am totally impressed by how they transform the entertainment and home living experience into something truly extraordinary. Now all my lighting is mood. In my opinion Govee is a more intelligent purchase than Hue because they offer a wide range of excellent products that are much less expensive than Hue. I love Hue but their products are overly expensive and eventually have to be replaced when they cease functioning. Buying mood lighting is addictive and one has to know when to stop. There is nothing that I want in the lighting department now because my setup is how I want it and spending more cash would be a waste. I want the Hue sync box but its hdmi is 2.0 which is a downgrade for me, but if Hue comes out with a 2.1 box I'm in. With Govee's excellent products there really is no need to purchase Hue unless you just want to be in their ecosystem.

    How often do Govee smart light bulbs get unlinked? I have both Hue and Lifx bulbs and I almost never have an issue with Hue lights not responding, but I can't tell you how many times I've had to hard reset / set up my Lifx bulbs.

    Will try Govee soon since all my LIFX lights don't work well anymore after a year. Interface poor, lights blinking if they can lights up. Droping colors (no more red on severals of my lights, etc.) very dissapointed of LIFX since there are pricy.

    • @Sanmiguel801
      @Sanmiguel801 Před rokem +1

      Same. Just sent back all my Lifx products (3 strips and 3 bulbs). Shame because when they worked they were lovely, but failing strips and a rubbish app makes them unusable.

    • @chrissetter
      @chrissetter Před rokem

      I have 18 Lifx lights. I’ve had 4 fail on me in the past 5 years (I don’t know if that’s good or bad for Wi-Fi lights). They replaced 3 of them for free. They are super bright which is why I bought them. You need really good wifi for it to work well. If there are any dead zones, then they will not work well. I love Lifx, but my hue is much more consistent because the Hub makes all my lights act as one. Lifx lights act independent from each other since there’s no bridge, so it’s a little more inconsistent. I actually like the Lifx app more since I can dial in the exact kelvin temperature or color degree and intensity. Hue app just shows a wheel with no numbers.

    Phillips hue app is more straightforward, the Govee app takes getting use to with the amount of options. The lights are very similar, but based on price and overall satisfaction Govee is definitely the winner.

    Hue is way more ecosystem and smarthome friendly and they also sync with Corsair icue so the point should go to Phillips instead of making it a tie due too razer chroma… Hue sync as an app on the desktop even syncs music and video… still too expensive tho

      @@speedygeek but as you mentioned in the features section Goove has more options (so that’s a feature like the effects) Philips Hue has clearly the upper hand in compability and ecosystem. @@snoks I've had Hue lights for a few years now and when I was looking to expand it... omg the cost. even on sale, $75 for 3 800 lumen bulbs... yikes. I've been having issues with my automation lately, the lights are just not coming on when I've scheduled them. I haven't had any sync issues at least. I also use Lifx which I'm not happy about. I've had to hard reset/setup the bulb at least 6-7 times in the last 3 years. and I have to soft reset the bulb at least once a week (turn the light fixture off then on to reset). So annoying. I'm honestly looking at Govee now. On sale, 4 Govee bulbs run $30. Idk...
