Man Utd's problem all year is based on their ineffective midfield.
It puts pressure on their defense AND also does not feed their forward line.
Their midfield gives any decent opposition so much time and space with the ball.

Fred and McTominay are average no doubt...tis Maguire's poor defending that's making them unsure and fidgety and making them even more terrible...they don't want to step up because they know they would need to track back to cover Maguire...they lack confidence to even pass the ball because they are so self aware, any mistakes would cost the team...Maguire needs to sit out the rest of the reason.
That's to simplistic. The forward line don't press and don't track their markers either. Not one player works hard enough. You press as a team you defend as a team, it's not individual elements that's the problem it's the whole makeup of the side.

There is a policy of privileging British and English players at the club in order for them to be part of the national team. This is why you see the likes of AWB playing instead of Dalot and Lingard replacing Pogba, Maguire playing and being made straight away captain etc. As long as this policy goes on, no manager will succeed at United, even a Pep or a Klopp.

Pep and Klopp would dare to bench any British players if they were not performing the way they should. It seems that managers at United try to accommodate them even though they bring nothing.
The only one who is playing well at the moment is Jadon Sancho. As for AWB, well, he actually needs some minutes (as Lingard) in order to get the opportunity to be part of the English squad.

I think you are being optimistic if you think we can qualify for the Europa League. There are teams chasing us that are truly hungry for any kind of European football unlike our lazy arsed over priced shower of prima donnas. I’ve supported this club for over 50 years and yesterday’s second half display was the most demoralizing half of football I’ve ever watched including including the game where City beat us to seal our relegation(I know we were already relegated because of the Birmingham result earlier that day) to the old 2nd Division. There are two main motivators for a team, love of the badge or fear for your job. Our current team has neither.
