Concrete Patio Repair and Resurface Project H&C Dura Top

Detailed instructions how I repaired and resurfaced our concrete patio using H&C Dura Top Resurfacer Heavy. We built the house in 2005 and moved in January 2006. Karin and I poured the original concrete patio. After 16 years the patio was in need of an upgrade. During a period of two months, I researched various products and finally decided on H&C Dura Top Resurfacer Heavy. The entire project required three days. Day one-prepare the concrete surface; Day two-apply the first coat; Day three-apply the final coat. I will allow the material to cure for 72 hours and then I will apply the clear coat sealer.

You did a very thorough job with the preparation. Keep in mind, no need to rush. You have time, by continuing to to go over areas repeatedly you do not get even coverage. Use your tool to help guide the material over the surface. When I saw you picking back and forth, along with the sound of your squeegee rubbing the concrete. Your coverage is thin as paint.

Kenneth, thank you for the feedback it is really appreciated. I was attempting 1/16th coverage as suggested by H&C. I did end up applying three coats. By the way, rolled on the last coat of Clarishield today and we are happy with the result. It is my understanding this product can obtain a 6100 psi when fully cured. Where did you purchase the products? Do you know if you can use paint or it has to be one of their color packs?

14x15 feet and the sidewalk is 11 feet
