- In this episode, Bobby and the guys struggle to get this last tract done and get closer to home. But with over half of his crew leaving to start their own company, Bobby is faced with the reality of getting Hallsboro done ASAP and to get back and try and curve the high cost in fuel he has incurred on this job.

To the Goodson Family, all Employees, and Friends: I have watched yall for many years and I truly appreciate the way you carry yourselfs. I am in the tree Industry as well. The fuel problem and the labor problem effects everyone. The good Lord has always seen me and family through the good and the bad. In the rough times when I don't know what to do or how I'm going to make it. I always lean on Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God" thank yall
Thanks for sharing this brother and I’m now subscribed to your channel too! I would love to get back into working in the woods again but would love to use mules! My dad and I did it many years ago until his best friend was killed by the horse team he was driving with when they pulled the sled over him. Have wanted to get back into it for years. You guys have encouraged me to maybe take the leap! Praying for Al of you alls safety in the log woods!

May god help us all during this administrations decisions that can and are putting so many of us into debt. I hope they get everything figured out! It seems like they have gone down a little since the end of the month but the prices on everything are hurting millions of us!!! We all need raises to keep up with this inflation but maybe 1% if that is actually getting the raises or income you need to sustain a decent life! There’s no way to save anymore!!! I’ve had take all my retirement payments away so I can just pay my bills and I’m still about to be living in my car!!! It’s insane!!!

Bobby, as a struggling owner operator of a dump truck myself, when you said " I don't know what to do anymore" it literally brought a tear to my eye. I feel that statement right straight in my heart, sadly so many of us truck owner's are in the same exact mindset here lately. I could say keep your head up, keep going, but when everything is going so bad, those type or words just don't help anymore. It's a sad situation we are all in, and worst of all there isn't a single thing we can do about it. I just hope we all make it through.
It's funny the truck and driver shortage is mentioned, shoot I have a road tractor in my driveway I would love to get on the road, but thanks to literally everything fighting forward progress, I just can't afford tags and insurance nor find a driver worth hiring. Maybe one of these days it will happen, and I'll send it down east to pull some logs for ya.
Lord help us all in these ridiculously trying times.
The company I work for here in OR. almost lost it due to lack of trucks.
I have a machine shop and log when it's not making money. I have said those words many times.

I am not in the logging industry but have always been fascinated my the way Bobby and the rest of the Goodson team have always just grinded through the rough times. We are in the demolition/drywall industry and the fuel/ material prices have made it hard on everyone. The biggest problem currently is not enough people willing to work or learn the trade! There's money to be made out there but you've got to earn it and be willing to learn. Keep it up Goodson team and keep posting videos, they always inspire me to keep up the fight!!!

Im in awe how you all go about your profession and how the machinery is specialised for the environment conditions and workplace, we don't have swamps here, so it certainly takes special certain folks to work the land and swamps.
The most intriguing and inspiring thing I've observed is how genuinely nice everyone is to each other, how dedicated to your work and most of all, family and faith been the foundation, motivation to perform your professions as efficiently as possible and keeping relationship with each other and those around you all balanced and harmonious amen.

It was a great day when I found you and your crew on u tube. Had enjoyed your time on TV and really missed you when it ended. Still marvel at the difference between your logging and ours here on the west coast of Oregon. One thing is the same a d that is the struggle with higher costs of fuel and no work force. I own a heavy equipment company, building road and clearing land. The high prices are rough, but at least I get to set my prices. I couldn't imagine having to run my crews at last year's pricing and paying out double. Wishing you the best, I know you care about your crew like family so I hope your able to keep the wheels turning.

The logging industry is really struggling all over the place. I’m from upper Michigan and it’s to the point, do u keep pushing through hoping things get better or quit and do something else. It’s been a constant struggle. God bless

Wish i could come out there work for you sold my dairy cows 5 years ago still mixed up and lost .did it morning and night for 43 years still farming and work at feed mill in town not done farming yet cant believe how nobody wants to work anymore keep doing ehst your doing an dont take anything for granted take care

That's that iron man logging. Jump seating equipment. Struggle putting fuel in the truck and then got to drive around the wood that's right in front of you to get to what you hope the driver doesn't have to set in line a half day to get a scale ticket. Perilous times we are in.

I used to stay in an old Hunting Cabin on Bivens Bridge Road in the Summer. I remember You Guys Cutting Timber down there, but some guy got Drunk and Set the woods on fire and burned the cabin dow . He was trying to Deep Fry a Turkey and set the Woods on Fire.

Know this Bobby: we're praying for you and your crew. Tough times bring out the best in tough people, and you are one of the toughest! God won't give you more than you can handle, but He does like to teach us how to develop and grow our Faith. Shoot, if it was easy we wouldn't need God! In these times I find that I need God more and more every day. I think that's a good thing, but sure can be scary!
One other thing Bobby, if I may. I don't think God minds if we take a break now and then. I find that's a good time to pray a little bit. As long as we don't let go of Him and try to make our own way, He will honor that.

We know exactly how you are feeling right now. Our biggest thing is finding dependable people that want to work and take pride in there job. We are a 6 man crew and down to a 4 man crew. Another thing I see is that you don’t see anybody getting into the logging industry just businesses going out of business. We will keep praying.
