  • In this video I show how to build the first 13 steps of the Tamiya CC-02 off-road chassis. There are several options included in this build and I will explain what those options mean to the finished chassis and other build issues to watch out for.
I particular this guide covers the gear ratio options and the servo mounting options.
Although this CC-02 will eventually become a Ford Bronco, the guide will apply to all Tamiya CC-02 kits.
Many thanks again to ‪@RCJunky‬ for donating this fantastic kit to the channel.
I hope you find this video useful and if you have any questions please leave them in the comments below and I will endeavour to answer them.
    Happy RC building! 😎👍

Gluing those nuts in place is key, it is a fiddly pain in the rear if you don't! Not that I learn things the hard way or anything LOL!! Great job on the build guide Mark, I am sure it will be helpful to others for sure!

    Great video Mark.
Would be nice, they'll do a shifting version for the gears.
Keep the bushings aside. This'll be the only currency after the apocalypse😂😂😂
I like component chassis. They somehow look more professional than the bathtubs

Ahh, so you're going for a gearing option to create a fast Bronco - you're a total speed demon bro, why am I not surprised..😂. It's good though that you have the option down the road to slow it down again. With the slower gear option, I wouldn't call this a crawler ( compared to an Axial ), but it's certainly a very competent trail runner. Excellent stuff Mark...👏👍🏻🙂.

Thanks mate! Hehe well you know me too well my friend 🤪 fast and furious!!! I also enjoy the left-field approach and going against the grain! No I wouldn't call this rig a crawler either but I'm sure it will have a go at a few tricky paths and provide some challenges that will be fun. Hope you are having a great Sunday, dude! 😎👊👍

Thanks pal! Oh yes I'm really getting into the build, it's very different from any other Tamiya I've done. A bit fiddly in places but that just adds to it for me. I'm a bit slow getting going on it but I've had a few health and family issues, so this really is a wonderful distraction when I get some time to spend on it. This is going to be a cracking little trail truck! Cheers!

I do enjoy a build class with Mr Bryan!
This looks like quite a deep build matey, which is always a great experience.
I'm not suprised that you are going with the fastest gearing..... I think I would have done the same mate!
Regarding the meshing of the pinion, I always sandwich a piece of paper between the gears and rotate..... I find this creates the perfect mesh-
not too tight, not too loose..... Just how we all like it! 😉 😂
Enjoying following along on this one fella, hope alls well up your way!

Hiya mate. Ah yes the master of the build video strikes again! This is a rather complicated kit and lots of top tips from you along the way. I think that this is more of a crawler chassis than the CC-01 so it's probably not going to be one for me but interesting to see how it goes together. I like that you've gone for the faster gear ratio so you might get a bit of decent speed. I look forward to seeing it all done. Really nice body shell on this one. Top work so far. Best wishes mate 😁👍👍

      @MarkBryanRC  Před 9 dny +1

Hi there my mate Pete! You are being too kind mate but thanks all the same! Yeah I think this is definitely a step up from the CC01 in terms of quality and design but not sure it will crawl much better, hence the speed option, I may even put a faster motor in it and send it over a few jumps, just for the hell of it! That body is scaring me at the moment just sat in the box, looks super tricky to do properly. Fingers crossed. Hope your slobby day is going well, I'm joining you with a laid back Sunday. Yes, build 🙂 with the gearing a CC02 speed challenge. Good you got rid of the two worse things is a Tamiya kit, bushings and pinion. Gluing bits so annoying, you used the glue I would use. But nice Tamiya complexity.
