Nice comparison..Ty...No audiophile here but clearly you can do a permanent underwater test for the SC only? Pretty much sounds like where it was retrieved from. Sony clearly takes this one with the polished mids and balanced bass. Much more clear soundstage overall. Pretty obvious. JBL not too far behind. When you throw LDAC in there, Sony clearly has the edge for a cleaner sound as a whole.

In a couple months the price of the Sony speaker I think will drop a little bit for now I am surprised about the sound quality of Sony speaker because it's sounds pretty good finally. I am not entirely fan of JBL I am looking always for convenience of quality and my little speaker is a Bose sound link flex for reference.
Man the soundcore sounds super "muffled" in comparison. Yeah, I'd pick the Sony too.
so maybe it's just me, but the sony sounds a little more like, tinny? the flip 6 overall sounds much more clear. is that just something to do with hearing it through a video rather than in person, or do you kinda hear it too?
But it’s interesting how the motion 300 has the same speaker set up as the old JBL flip 4.
I mean I’m sure it’s sounds better than the flip 4 but JBL doesn’t use 2 transducers in their small newer speakers. I am referring to the JBL flip 5 and flip 6.

In my speakers collection i've got Sony, JBL, UE, and Anker brand speakers
Usually I buying what is currently on SALE, never bought speaker at retail price.
Mostly I choose JBL because they was better in sound quality.
And always before next-gen release, JBL lowering price a lot.
Like my Boombox 3 bought for 280 GBP (365 USD).
But... Sony this time learn lesson.
Maybe, when Sony put this speaker line on sale - I grab one for myself.

The CHARGE 5 is currently priced at $129.99 on Amazon.
The key word is CURRENTLY. All of the JBL stuff is on sale right now, probably because of Sony’s launch. They are all the same retail price, except Soundcore. Soundcore is always cheaper.

@@NewStuffTV2 The CHARGE 6 will release some time between now & toward the end of the year. I’ve been trying to get intel on the release date, with very little to no success.
@user-wt2wl4dl8d can't argue with that. The only thing it comes down to is why you're buying a speaker in the first place. Some are looking for a smaller speaker (bottle type) for golf carts, bikes, etc. Some just want something else... which is where the Charge becomes the winner.

Sony has always made decent speakers, its the XE And XG line up they messed up big time

For me call functionality is a deal breaker. Sometimes i am busy with somethong and i want to answer a call without using my phone. So here Sony outperform Jbl.

That's a GREAT question! In the past, I've used the Charge 5 for watching movies with our outdoor projector. It worked great. Then I switched it for the Motion 300 because I thought it made the voices cleaner. Now, the Field 1 is doing the job better than both of them.

If i can get a refurbished XG300 for about 90 bucks should I go for that instead? Don’t care about durability or portability purely talking about sound quality
if you dont mind the bigger size, the xg300 is certainly clearly better than any of the 3 small speakers in this video. Its has stereo, fuller sound, deeper bass etc. and more features
I got the xg300 after the update sounded better eq sounds even better
I have the XG300 and the ULT field 1. Both are great sounding. But the XG definitely has more bass and is louder than the ULT field 1. ULT field 1 has very good sound for its size.

I’m Saying this as a JBL person. SONY was more clear with fuller sound while JBL charge 5 was louder but flatter missing the mark. Makes me more exited for my SONY ULT 1 to show up tomorrow. JBL missing the mark after hearing this sony speaker.

I just checked the prices out UK £119 sony. My charge 5 was cheaper i paid £87. I do like the sony tho im not a jbl fan boy honest. Lol
It's unfortunate the field one can't fit in a cup holder like the flip can.
The Field 1 fits in most car/golf cart holders and bicycle bottle holders. I've tried it on all of mine.
No matter which one may have the best sound quality, the SoundCore motion 300 dominates in 1 area. And that’s the 9-band eq vs the other 2 with a 3-band eq.
But any eq adjustments is better than no EQ adjustments.
You guys kinda argued about which one sounds better. All I can say is one heard that they say all sound is subjective to your ears. I may think the Sony sounds the best and you (anyone on CZcams) may not. And that’s ok bc you just don’t buy the Sony ult field 1 then.
Get the flip 6 or Motion 300 or something else if you don’t like the ult field 1 sound.

I'd prefer jbl fans over sony fans, at least jbl was and currently is at the top of the game in bluetooth speakers now, let's get some facts on the table. sony is just trying to be relevant by copying the same driver setup like the flip 6 and charge 5 and tuning it in a less highs and more mid bass type of tuning that actually works on people who don't know what deep bass is, which is funny to see.
I don't say that the ult 1 is bad, i just don't respect the fact that sony went on jbl's setup to compete

@@oliverstemp9132 u wont notice a difference if u listen to rap or pop songs. But for other genres like Drum and bass etc. There will be alot of missing elements in Mono. It is not balanced

clearly JBL flip6 has more deep bass that gives a warm and fuller sound. Sony has more upper bass, which unfortunately is not the "true" bass.
