- Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Alexei Navalny, addressed the European Parliament after the death of her husband.
Navalny was a political activist in Russia and a long-time, high-profile critic of President Vladimir Putin.
He will be buried in Moscow on Friday, a spokesperson confirms, after his team struggled to find a funeral home.
Navalnaya has vowed to continue her husband's work to fight for a "free Russia", saying that to defeat Putin requires becoming an innovator.

I can only try to imagine what she is going through. She must be traumatized - 10 days ago her husband was murdered, then his body was taken and in two days there will be a funeral under enormous stress and probably even fear. She is very strong. But my tears came up when she began her speech and breathed deeply. As she said in a former speech -"Putin killed half of my heart and he killed half of my soul...but I still have the other half". You can see how she suffers. I admire her deeply and I hope the nightmare of Putins regime will be over in the near future.
I am not sure she can attend the funeral, they wouldn't let her in. That's one of the Putin's special treats for the Russian citizens living abroad 😡
