      Hello @i-etranger,
      Each ScrutonWell is individually calculated for each application in terms of static loads due to process pressure and bending.
      The ScrutonWell design effectively prevents vibration excitation by vortex shedding (VIV - Vortex-Induced Vibration).
      This has been proven by laboratory tests at NEL (National Engineering Laboratory).

The lab confirmation is interesting but probably less useful in the absence of open and generally accepted way to describe performance ScrutonWell in a range of process conditions. Could you please provide a reference to a standard that allows verification of thermowell's ability to maintain its integrity for given process conditions?
