I had a guinea pig as a child. However, as an adult, I learned that they are very social creatures and get depressed if they don't have a guinea pig buddy. I've always regretted not knowing that. Binka must have been sad. If I ever get another one, I'll make sure to get 2.

Let's face it, people don't like laws, and being stopped, told what to do, breathalysed, done for drugs...Yes, they may of shot an innocent person, but sometimes they have to make an instant decision, and sometimes an innocent person gets in the way. I never liked them either, but that's because I got stopped for speeding.
MOST COPS, THE MAJORITY ARE VERY COOL & THE DO PROTECT & SERVE US CITIZENS WHO NEED THEIR HELP, THAT IS WHAT THEY DO, HELP PEOPLE WHO NEED IT!!!!
Not only the country, but the "trade" many of them love needs those good, clean spirited officers to come forward and clen this mess up. It can be really that simple, or not. that is the choice most of those officers are making on their own, whether they know it or not. How soon and well community policing and policework become the norm and open virulent racism taken from that publically funded system , much as it was in 1953, when Eisenhower desegregated the entire military establishment in a an executive stroke. It took a couple more years for it to be the "accepted norm", lots of retirements and "early service releases" and more time, but by 1960, it was the public face of the US Military. That was two million change men and women spread out all over the world. It's still not perfect now- but it steadily improves and demands more- the "sermon" delivered by the Commandant of the AF Academy a while back was scathing and damning over some incidents of overt hazing and racism. But we must start some day- why not today? I know both kinds- some of the fines people I know, and a couple of real dogs. The dogs need to be kept in kennels, so the rest can do what they came to do- to defend and protect. I'll begin there, with that oath- that is a start.
As long as the "good" cops allow the "bad" cops to behave the way they do, even allow those bastards to exist...then it doesn't matter how many "good" cops there are. They are ALL tarred with the same brush. They want respect? THEY NEED TO EARN IT
@@roodog3761 Not any disagreement there. FWIW, I know two present officers whose careers have been steered into trouble by established officers trying to "lead" them to a better life. It's a very ugly situation, one that the US Congress should have jumped on hard when the LEO's balked at Miranda in the '60s. Another failure of our out to lunch legislators.

We can discuss this until the cows come home, but the basics still remain...yes there are good cops, but unless those good cops take an active role in taking down the bad cops from wherever they are found, the call by the police for more respect will fall on deaf ears. Respect needs to be earned, and theyâve lost the respect of millions of the people who theyâve sworn âto serve and protectâ. Politics is another, but that is a whole new evil ball-game. The construction industry is another.

There was this girl at my school who watched a horror movie at a friends house in the city and had to walk home. Apparently she was so scared to walk home, 3 miles through literal pitch black darkness, that she called the police and apologized non stop saying she was so scared and couldn't walk alone. A cop literally came and drove her home. This was all over our social media sites back then and about how cops are your friends and you should not be afraid of them. đ

Our local cops were called to a "drunk" parked in the hotel car park. The sargent opened the car door, one smell and the "drunk" was speed off to the hospital with "Diabetic shock" . She had saved the life of a sober man.

In NSW Australia, we have an Aboriginal "custody notification line" that police are required to call when they take an Aboriginal person into custody. Hasn't been a single death in police custody in 20 years due to that line (1 exception where they didn't know they were Aboriginal or call it), where previously there were constant deaths from diabetic comas & other medical conditions that were assumed to be just drunk & locked up unsupervised

A few years ago - it was about September of 2009 - I was working as a first responder at a city event in a first aid post set up for the day.
The swine flu was on everyoneâs mind.
Two police officers brought in a young man who they thought might have a head injury. This young man started vomiting violently. As he started to throw up one of the police officers started to vomit as well. We looked at her partner and asked if he was going to help her⊠his reply⊠âOh no... I might catch the swine fluâ
We found out later the female police officer was pregnant... and was vomiting due to sympathetic nausea
Well people were scared then so it's pretty understandable fear can make people change

@@lilaclizard4504 The police are strong and know what they sign up for. They can deal with the most brutal crimes and people. But the flu is not a person, is it? It's a virus. Something that antibiotics cannot help, and something that kills more than what a serial killer can do in a day. If you're pregnant, there's more of a chance of death, for you and your baby. So I understand why they were afraid.

My Dadâs now a retired cop from the UK & I swear when I was growing up & his work mates would come over or come 2 family parties they were all crazy AF!!! Total party animals & were always pranking each other.
I'd also like to post a comment about my appreciation and respect for the wonderful officers who risk their lives every day to protect us.

Gotta add my funny police experience:
I had a very near fatal horse accident back in March 2008 when my horse bucked me head-first into the middle of the street, after she got nervous. After I was released from the hospital & healed enough to work with my family's health insurance agent about doctors, she asked me if they told me what the police had written in their report & had submitted. I said no & she burst out laughing saying that, even though they're not supposed to share that information, it was too good not to tell me- especially since I was the victim! She then read it, trying hard to compose herself: "Officers arrived on the scene & assisted the victim. Serious injuries were observed. No others were injured. But, it was discovered that THE CRIMINAL HAD LEFT THE SCENE OF THE CRIME!" They were referring to my horse that took off after bucking me & managed to jump the pasture fence with her saddle- which had come loose- hanging upsidedown under her belly & was happily grazing! The agent & I stayed on phone dying of laughter for about 5 minutes! Never could forget that!đ€Łđ
