Same. The actors had their credits, but none so visible as bond. If you've played superman or any well known comic character, or other fictional character, it's a bit odd for me. But I know that's not everyone's feeling

He's not unknown, but he's a phenomenal actor, I think Bill Skarsgard should play the next bond. He'd add a more youthful but darker dimension than what we have seen before. Even Alex Skarsgard would be good but I think Bill would bring something we haven't seen before. He's a hidden gem / dark horse of an actor we haven't seen in a while.

I am sorry for having to tell you all this, but James Bond’s story was based off a white British Male Agent, who was not only physically good at his job, but also charming and romantic. Henry Cavill is much too bulky and old for the job (try imagining Henry Cavill camouflaging in a crowd). Sean Connery portrayed James Bond perfectly and it is one of the reasons why finding someone as talented and as good an actor as him would be the perfect choice for the next James Bond. My number one pick would be Richard Madden: he is Scottish, he is in his late 30s (meaning he has the time for the job), he is an incredibly talented actor (watch Bodyguard if you haven’t seen it, the way he portrays David Budd is unique, also watch Rocketman and Klondike), he can be very charming and he has the looks for it!

Sean Connery was a body-builder, -6′ 2″, (1.88 m) weighed 90, kgs (Being able to "camouflage in a crowd" was always redundant for Bond.)
Henry Cavill has built his body for Superman and is 6ft 1" (1.86 m)and weighs 91 kgs. The similarities make him a natural candidate. He's 38 and has all the time in the world to do a series. His acting skills seal the deal.

The contenders I would consider for the role of James Bond would be Tom Hiddleston, Michael Fassbender and Richard Madden in that order. I liked how Daniel Craig expanded the personality of Bond. He was able to be that strong knight in shining armour and keep you on the edge of your seat during action sequences and yet at other times let his guard down and show his vulnerability and at times his insecurity. However he was always able to bolster his confidence enough to go ahead and get the job done and add in romance and intimacy. He made Bond a more complex character than some of his predecessors and I think whoever they chose as the next Bond needs to not only bring those qualities into the role but also bring a piece of themselves in order to make Bond more captivating to the audience (or as good as).

@@rboona2002 Of course not, but when casting a new Bond, age is actually a very important factor to consider.
Sean Connery was only 32 when he was cast to play 007 in in Dr No (1962), which meant that he was young enough to continue playing him until OHMSS (1969) and he only looked old in DAFE (1971) aged 41.
Roger Moore was already 45 when he became Bond in Live and Let Die (1973), which meant that he already looked too old by FYEO (1981), only 8 years later. Moore was in the most Bond films (7) BUT if there had been 3 years between his films, instead of 2 years, then he would've only appeared 3 times before he looked too old. Moore (aged 54) should've been replaced by Dalton (aged 35) in 1981, but he stayed on for 4 more years, until VTAK in 1985, when he was a ripe old 58!
Dalton only appeared as 007 twice, so age wasn't an issue, but he was already 40 when he became Bond.
Pierce Brosnan is the only Bond who aged slowly enough NOT to look old in his later films but even he was already 42 in Goldeneye (1995) and 49 by his last film DAD (2002).
Unfortunately, Daniel Craig's LOOKS haven't aged well, despite him being only 38 when he was cast as Bond in CR (2006) and also keeping himself in excellent physical condition. He was almost 50 in NTTD and his age clearly shows.
When you consider how long all these actors played him and their respective ages, the next Bond should be old enough to be believable in the role, but also young enough to stay for 10-12 years, which means casting someone aged 35-40.

Since the actor could be committed to play 007 for 15 years plus, the new Bond can't be any older than late 30s, ruling out a few people on this list. I like Richard Madden and Rege-Jean Page; both are more associated with television, as were Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan. Daniel Craig was no leading man either. I have a whole lot of different names mentioned in relation to playing 007.
Hardy I believe had been the bookmakers favourite for a long time, but I gather that with the way things have dragged on with regards the Global Pandemic it's now a case that Hardy's age is working against him. Especially when you consider that he will be at least 46 by the time the next installment of James Bond is released.
So therefore it is now Madden who is the favourite at around 35 he clearly has time on his side. Plus he fits the bill in many different ways.
Richard Madden is certainly the guy I would have as the next 007.

Needs to be someone 30-40, over 6 feet, dark haired, handsome, British, good actor, charismatic & able to carry a Bond film. Another Sean Connery or 1987 Brosnan.
    Good luck.

@@leekereopa1960 I know. But Dalton was 40. That is pushing it now if the producers want 5/6 Bond films from an actor. Gaps between films are much longer.
      A 1987 Brosnan was 33.

Sure thing Adam. Good point. I agree they really need to bring the bond movies out at least every 3 to 4 years that way if a actor is mid 30s on his first bond he could easily do 5 to 6 movies.

How about Rupert Friend from the Hitman: Agent 47?
He deserve a spot on the list.
