  • Solo Motorcycle trip. Black Mountain Kentucky Part 1. This ride takes us to the highest point in Kentucky on Black Mountain, elevation is 4145 feet. Highway 160 known as the Dragon Slayer, runs through Benham, KY and Lynch KY. Lynch, KY is the highest incorporated city in Kentucky at 3640 feet. This town has lots of coal mining history and once had a population of 10,000 people. Now days the population is around 900. This city is worth the visit, lots of interesting placers to visit. I was on my way to Johnson City Tennessee on this ride. I will have to go back to do some more exploring.

Thanks for a very good video of some beautiful areas. What camera/cameras did you use and at what resolution. Also, where did you have the camera mounted? Great job with the editing!

I use a GoPro hero 8 and typically have it mounted to the front of my helmet. I wear a full face modular type of helmet. There is a specific mount you can find on Amazon. Thank you for watching. Joe
