Ya the LFP is interesting. I have hit 171kW when plugging in at 80$ SoC. Didn't last long but very interesting to see

Daughter has Clubman S. AWD 2020 8sp. Has been perfect. Wife has hardtop JCW upfit. No issues. Mimi’s are fun, and under estimated. Likely will be the last ICE in the stable.
Great review of the Clubman. As a MINI enthusiast I had a new Cooper S Clubman on order (to get one of the last before they stopped making them) and unfortunately I lost my job so had to cancel. I agree with everything you said about how unique and cool they are. The quality is really premium too. In the UK I'm pretty sure the Cooper S (2.0l 178 ps) has the 7 speed dual clutch transmission and it's the JCW that has the 8 speed torque converter 'box.
Re the Model 3 drive - I love how relaxed you are about arriving at your destination with only 3% charge remaining! I'd have more anxiety than that, but I guess you know the product so well and can trust the data.

Next time you do that trip do your charging stop in Vernon. Get takeout from Rein's Deli and then eat it at the Supercharger. Rein's has been my stop when traveling between Mass and NY since the 70s, it's great. I was delighted when you mentioned that there was a Supercharger in Vernon.

I appreciate the reviewing of combustion and BEV vehicles objectively. The BEV or gtfo crowd (or ICE or gtfo) is totally useless. Everything has it's faults and advantages and knowledge is what lets us make the best buying decisions.
I remember Dave changing it because of the drivers seat in the old one making unpleasant noises.
I didn't know the dash on the model Y is so plain. No radio or speedometer easy to see.
I feel bad saying this but the back doors on the clubman reminds me of a hearse.
Hard for a west-coast person like me to fathom driving from New York, to Connecticut, to Massachusetts, to New Jersey in a day. Trying to go four states here would take days.
