What I would give to see Chipper and Andruw hitting back to back in a live game again.... I remember Chipper's last game and listening to Don Sutton break down in tears before the game started. He said that knowing this was the last time we would ever see Chipper Jones play major league baseball was a heart breaking moment. He's one of the few living legends left. The way people talk about DiMaggio, Mantle, Aaron and the other immortals is how we will talk about Chipper, Jeter, Maddux, Ryan and Pujols. These players went from asking the baseball gods for help to being baseball gods themselves.

I don't know all the stats and I'm biased , but he's the greatest switch hitter ever. I scratch my head wondering how the Braves didn't win more world series. Was Chipper even there when they beat Cleveland ? They should've beat Minnesota, the Yankees once , and they lost in the pennant championship to inferior teams several times. I'm glad they got the one in the 90'S. I love the Braves but i will not make the 1.5 hour trek until they restore just government to Fulton County. Georgia is a beautiful place but with the DA and the lawlessness i cannot in good faith make any financial contribution unless they restore some semblance of integrity.

AztekWarrior I was there that night...it was the old RFK Stadium where the Redskins used to play back in the day. This is where the Nats played until Nats Park opened
