Brad Marsh doesn't get the due he deserves. It might have to do with bouncing around with several teams. Langway, Robinson, Salming, Lowe got a lot of press for being shut down d men, but Brad Marsh and Brad McCrimmon are criminally underrated for that era
Flyers fan since 1974. Brad was a stay home defenseman because his feet work was horrible lol. All kidding aside he's a stud. God bless him and the Flyers organization for helping the veterans.

I'm 41 been a habs fan my whole life , in saying that Roy would be a disaster under Gorton. There is no way Roy will want to awenser to anybody. Gorton is the GM just not in title. I think they are going to hire Danny Briere. I live very close to Montreal , most people could care less if people in managment speak french , most people here just want them to win . Certain sectors in the french media and the premier of the province push that french speaking narrative . If they won the cup no one would care what language managment speaks

As a rookie GM, my pick is Mathieu Darche. He's from Montreal, played there, just did his grades with Tampa Bay and won two cups. Now who want to leave Tampa from Montreal you say, a rookie executive looking for the big break, that's why a guy like Julien Brisebois won't join the Habs. As for the french part, it is what it is. It's part of the culture of the club, the fan base, the province of Québec and Montreal. Like it or not, its the club's identify and DNA.
Its the same for example FC Barcelona, they will never hire an president or sporting director that doesn't speak catalan. Their identity is Catalunya, that's it.

I would have fired Bergevin after he traded subban and than sergachev. Bergevin is great that he speaks french but Brisebois was the better GM candidate in 2012 and ever since than they have been shitting the bed.
