What a great son
Look at how proud and emotional he is , great to see him get his chance with italy and be so proud for him and his family
Congratulations from ireland well done great win.
England fan here. Always liked the cut of Michael Lynagh's jib, even when he was playing against England/Lions teams. Never knew his son was this good! Well done to the entire Lynagh family.
This comment section proves what a great sport Rugby is. Great game, Scotland. Nothing but love for you guys from this Italian. Having said this, I'm over the moon for the job our guys have done! Daje!
Delighted for the Italian players and management amd all their fans and families. A great win. What a debut for a him. Really good for the Six Nations to have Italy get what they deserve for once. Wishing them more successes in the years to come.
How wonderful for Italy and the Six Nations was that win today? The Lynagh family will be celebrating tonight and rightly so!
Always liked Michael Lynagh back in the day - one of the few Aussies who wasn't an arrogant SOB and actually sounded intelligent in interviews.
Lynagh could have played for Ireland also
Felicidades Italia !!! De un argentino como es su DT
Level headed young man, im impressed. May his future be blessed.
you could tell michael lynagh was crying god bless them all superb display sooooo passionate !!!!!
Well done Italy. Delighted for all my pals in Verona 🎉
A great lad! Congrats from this England fan. He’s deceptively strong and has serious wheels. England’s loss is Italy’s gain.

Fair play, his mother is Italian (as is his grandfather), so that’s a pretty decent qualification. He’s not having to rely on some distant relative.
And he was born in Treviso as well, you prick!
He is italian, born in Treviso 😅
@@Tannhauser666A rugby area
Yepp mate, he was born in Italy, so it cannot be more italian than that, particularly if he was born from an italian woman. In short, he's a real italian..on a side note, as far as you know, does he even speak italian? Regards SergioUK
Or not some guy who spent 3 years in the place.
l only watch international rugby when Italy play [football fan ] but one thing l have noticed rugby fans are fair and gracious in defeat ,totally different to the mentality of the average football fan , RESPECT !!!!!!!!!
Fantastic, well chuffed parents great to see
Italian english man with awest of Ireland surname! He could nearly be the 6 nations
East of Ireland .. Lynagh means Leinsterman in Irish. Yours pedantically .... 😁
He came to the UK when he was 4 or 5, from Italy. How does that make him English? Aussie dad and Italian mum too.
Australian father of Irish descent, Italian mother from Italy, yet played youth levels for England because he grew up there. That was never gonna last
Son père était un très grand joueur aussi.
I love his smile 🥰🇮🇹❤️
Grazie louis
This is so awesome. As a Harlequins fan i have watched this guy light it up for ages so to finally see him play international rugby and win is so epic. Now go out and beat the Welsh next week
Great win...🇮🇹🇮🇹 Well done from 🏴🏉
But we beat the engerlish that's the main thing.ABE.
Lynagh here from Ireland! 🇮🇪 very interesting to see one playing for Italy
Dallaglio was half Italian and half Irish. Yet he played, unfortunately, for England.
Amazing game! Epic performance! Keep going!!!
Great for Italy and Lynagh
Well played louis and italy 🏴👍🏻
Bravo!!!! What a player
Great lad !!!
England / Italy = passion congrats
Well done Hugely Impressive
Go forward
Well done Louis ❤
Well done young Lynagh👍👍
Great moment
Well done bro.
Shame, clearly on another planet. And why not? Great performance by the Italian team, but also by him on debut. Happy for the young man. He is certainly a special talent. What an enjoyable game it was! Congrats to the men from the land of Spaghetti Slurpers! Cheers from Safferland chaps!
Hahaha, Spaghetti slurpers...mate for your knowledge though, we don't slurp eating spaghetti. We know how to eat them properly and without slurping. It's you the Brits who are the real slurpers cause you're not trained well on how to eat them.. Any how that made me laugh loudly.
Stay well my friend, and always Forza Italia.
@@sergiodario58able 😂 I'm actually from the land of the Rugby World Cup Champs mate! 💪 Glad you saw the funny side ... it was meant as a joke. Congrats on your team's win, it was a GREAT effort! Forza Italia indeed! 😉

South African then, i suppose...yea that was good laugh, i know that no harm was ment..i live in England you see, and that's why i said the Brits are the real slurpers, cause i seen them regularly doing it.
Anyway forza SA as well then, and why not, England..I do live here afterall, and i do appreciate the land that gives me the opportunities. No spitting in the plate where i eat, here.
Nice talking to you mate, regards Sergio.
Brilliant and for reasons I can’t quite express adequately, this weekends rugby was such a positive affirmation of the best the game can be , not just the quality of the play but the spirit in which it was played .
The International rules around who you play for seem irrelevant when we get to see such a wonderful spectacle and such mutual respect across all the teams who played yesterday win or lose .
You are right, great weekend. Rules not an issue here - yes his dad's australian and his mum is Italian which makes him half Italian, like several on the squad, Varney Allan etc, and he was born in Italy..." Luigi" Lynagh 😆
As a Harlequins fan, this guy has been a great part of our success of late. Sadly salary caps are effecting squad sizes; that and his injuries plus dropping down Englands pecking order mean Italy gain a great lad. All the best to a quality guy and his family in Italy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥃
He borned it Italy, in Treviso. He's by birth right on the Italian team. England leaved us nothing.
Just to say.
He was England, Australia. and Italy qualified. Initially he was considering England, but didn’t happen. So I’m not saying England did give you anything!
@@trevorgrant3477I didn't knowed that. Sorry
He hasn't got any English in him. Born in Italy to an Italian mum and Aussie dad.
well done louis, go Italy go Veneto goTreviso
So smart for such a young guy talking like that
Well done Lad don’t retire you have cracking personality and a very bright future! Well done Mate
What a genuine and nice fella. I’m English and feel like we shouldn’t have let him get away. He should be starting for us.
But, happy for him and wish him success. Glad he grabbed life by the horns and hope he has a long successful career
Starting ahead of who?!
That'd issue who does he replace, we have so many options in the backs...he also had a bad stretch of injuries which has put him out of contention. I'm glad he can play for his country of birth and guarantee starts
His mother is Italian and his father is Irish-Australian. He could've went anywhere. Italy was a good choice.
Ok, maybe id say he should certainly be in the squad rather than starting at this point.
I think he could play 13 or 15 at international level long term if he stays injury free.
Or Freeman could be an outstanding 13 or 15 and lynagh onto the wing.
Freeman and lynagh are both outstanding all round athletes and natural rugby players. Can’t have enough of them!
I saw his dad play a few times
Incredible man
Good to see Louis playing at the level he deserves, just wish it was in an England shirt.
Italy looking great. Should have beaten France, really close to beating England and now beaten Scotland. Really want them to beat Wales and stick two fingers up to all those saying they shouldn't be in the 6Nations.
Well done
As a Quin’s and England fan and I was gutted that Louis moved on. His performances for Quin’s should have seen him get more International opportunities, IMHO. That said I leap from the sofa when he scored, I couldn’t be happier for a the guy. CHAPEAU!!
England's loss is Italy's gain. What a dream start to his Italian rugby career.
Good player but Feyi-Waboso is better
@@Herondinhoirrelevant comment. Doesn’t mean he couldn’t have played for England, or Oz for that matter. Every team needs a squad not just a 1st 15.I feel they both will end up regretting not capping him. But then again perhaps better for 6 nations rugby overall.
Wow that's a great English accent for an Italian, speaks far better than most numpties walking the English streets.🤣
Top top lad
How italian sounds so familiar, amazing !
Dads a legend too.
Seeing yoghurt body Finn Russells face and then England winning was a fantastic days rugby.
Pleased for him - sad he is heading off from Quins but hopefully he gets to build a great International career now with less competition for places keeping him out of contention. The more he plays the more class he will be and Italy will continue their rise.
❤❤❤
I think England miss3d out on a great player by not capping him when there was an opportunity to. Genuinely pleased for him that he is playing international rugby, and what a way to begin!
Michael Lynagh was a classy back and is still a classy pundit
No interest in rugby ,stumbled on this ,what a fantastic young man ,his parents did a great job 😂😂

What a difference... a young rugby player compared to a young footballer. A young man his parents can be proud of. And I've never played rugby (apart from school) but played local football for 20 years.

Played really well. I hope he doesnt torment us like his old man used to.
We need more English blood in our team!!
Lynagh doesn't have any English blood. His dad's an Aussie of Irish descent, and his mum is Italian. The boy himself was born in Italy too.
How posh is he?! He speaks like British Royal Family.
Great to see Michael Lynagh back on business ...! 😅 His son Louis didn't choose the right side as he was resident in England yrs ago, Eddie Jones did it for him....
He's chosen the right side now!
Love the English accent from this Australian playing for italy. Good luck to him. Makes a change from Scottish players with English accents
his accent actually has a strong italian lilt to it. the type of accent alot of italians who have spent alot of time in england have. to the untrained ear it sounds like an english accent. but it's a common twang of an english italian accent. Probably from the influence of his italian mum
He's 50% Italian, born in Italy and only left at 4. He's a bit more than just an "Australian playing for Italy"
@@tiekumarkyou oh are reaching with that mate. His accent is not at all Italian. Maybe when he was 5 or 6 but not now 😂
100% of italians would kill to have such a fluent and flawless english accent 😂
@@dgoodall it’s not a reach. And I didn’t say his accent was Italian. I said it had an Italian Lilt to it that alot if british people with an Italian parent have. I’ve studied linguistics and for anyone with any knowledge in the formation of languages it’s easy to hear. Like I said in my original comment “to the untrained ear it just sounds like an English accent” but To the trained ear you can hear the influence of Italian at the ends of each word. They a clipped differently from just a standard English accent. My wife was born in Japan but grew up in England from the age of 4 and still has the influence of Japanese on her cadence and tone. You can hear it in all cultures in the uk even amongst people born in he UK but with non uk parents. Their accents will still reflect their parentage, be it Jamaican English, Pakistani English , Yiddish English, Nigerian English etc. for instance someone like Ugo Monye most would say has a pretty decent English accent. For a linguist like me I can easily hear the Nigerian in the tongue shapes and the ending of consonants. Each culture will have a distinct colour and tone unique to their background within the English accent they have. I wouldn’t expect someone who doesn’t have the ear to hear these things to hear it and yes for them it a “reach” but for those of us who understand and have studied accents it’s actually quite obvious. He has pretty much the same English accent a lot of northern Italian British born people I have come across have. Specifically Northern Italian
Italian as they come 😅
His mom is Italian so he’s Italian.
Not only is his mom Italian, but he was born in Italy. Just because his surname isn't Italian, people question his nationality. Bit small-minded in a multicultural world...

Italy is not an ethno state as England is historically (used to be... of course)
