- Taking a hotel holiday with my lady friend in Old Town Sacramento's Riverfront Park, the Delta King. The Delta King, and its sister ship the Delta Queen, once transported passengers between Sacramento and San Francisco during the late 1920s and the 1930s. But with the completion of the Golden Gate Bridge, giving easy access to San Francisco and the Bay Area, the steamships were no longer needed. Eventually they were sold off and the Delta King fell into a horrible state of disrepair. Eventually it was bought by the Coyne family, restored and refashioned as a hotel which now resides at Riverfront Park in Old Town Sacramento.
The Sacramento Visitors Bureau owes you some serious commission. You just made the place a must visit.

I walked around the outside of it and, I learned something from my mom my great grandfather I believe she said he owned it or worked on it but it was so cool to walk on something that somebody who was my mom’s grandpa worked on or owned!

This video was super helpful! We are from Yuba City, about 45 min north of Sac and went to Old Town with the kids today and stumbled onto the ship. We wandered around and my husband and I ended up booking a deluxe riverside room for Thanksgiving break as soon as we got to the car. Now I’m home looking for videos on what the room might and our stay might look like. Our room for the deluxe riverside queen bed room was $199 after taxes and everything and that includes full breakfast for 2! Great pricing. We did book in July for a November stay.

@@EgoDrivenFilms I forgot to ask, did they happen to tell you about any future productions happening in the theater? The desk clerk said they were unsure about future productions happening in the theater, and couldn’t say when or what might be coming in the future.

Are you my father? My mother told me 34 years ago she met a bearded man on the delta king hotel and after a night of passion, she never saw him again, but that she made a promise with him to meet after covid was over. She was a navy seal.
The music is awful and showing the souvineer shop is no help at all.
