Peter is a lovely guy..I remember back in the early 90's working with him at a HiFi show in Belfast N.I. I was in my early 20's and after 3 days working with him he handed me a set of Audionote Silver ANV interconnects..I nearly dropped..He smiled and said these will make your Audio Innovations amps sound much better..I still have them to this day and they're amazing..At that time it was the first outing of the Nero 8 watt SE integrated amp..We had the Snell E's, I think, the Voyd reference and the top of the line Audionote Io ltd cartridge going into the Audionote phono step up. You know Peter has just got a little greyer but he's still the same as he was then :-)
The amplification components coupled with those speakers convey the cello sound perfectly. The tactile sensation is one that places the cellist just a few feet in front of the listener.
Really nice series, very interesting to see the whole process from manufacture, sales to listening room. This system looks and sounds awesome even on my laptop.

I remember reading an oldish interview with Peter, he stated that one of the best amps he’s listened to is a pushpull VT62 amp. Now I see him using a 10Y or VT62/801A as a front end driver for his monoblocks. Interesting... Lovely lifelike tone on the cello btw, even if the response is still a bit stiff as mentioned in this vid.
I didn't see any speakers being built or drivers in this tour, did I miss it? Always very interesting though with these tours. It's an impressive operation.
Why do HiFi shows never play what I listen to? It sounds fantastic, but it's not what is part of my musical world. i love acoustic guitar, classical music, but I also listen to rock, country, thrash! FFS! lets here something different.
Good HiFi is often very transparent, revealing. Playing metal, rock music which is quite poor recorded is not the best way to show advantages of good system. On HiFi shows are played records which are recorded very good, which is jazz or classical or special samplers

The Snell E!!!!!!!!!! What a great speaker! If I remember correctly, they were 990.00. I should have bought two pair!
I have heard most brands in the world. And Audio Note is without a doubt the very best. I wish I could own an AN setup one day :-(

Audio Note just seem to excel with classical music, these are some of the best systems I have heard when I was in the UK doing the shows
