    I’ve been using a foundation brush from the beginning, I remember trying a blender/sponge a couple times but not liking it nearly as much. When I watch this video I can see why! The beauty blender works and you can work the sponge to blend things the way you want, but I love how quick and easy the foundation brush is in comparison. 😊

  • @guidodati74
    @guidodati74 Před 4 lety +2

    Thanks for the tutorial because it's very useful... not only for beginners, but even more for those that believe to know how to apply the foundation.
    That's being said, in my personal and humble opinion I disagree with your statements about coverage and seamless application.
    Regarding the coverage, it's pretty clear that the brush delivers a higher coverage and less product being used compared to beauty blender (that I simply love and I agree with you that is great with concealer).
    Regarding the skin-like finish, on the other side it's pretty clear that beauty blender delivers a much better result compared to the brush.
    The solution is that (and it's not mine, my personal source is Taylor Wynn), if you wish more coverage is to start out with the brush and follow with the sponge for a second-skin-seamless application (depending of course of the quality of the foundation...)

    • @RitaAlmusaBeauty
      @RitaAlmusaBeauty  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Guido, that is very great advise. I really do appreciate you taking the time to give your honest opinion. I can see what you mean.
      There are definitely certain foundations that need that extra little 'smoothing' or 'setting' with the sponge to complete the second-skin-seamless application.
      I also truly believe it depends on the kabuki and the sponge that someone is using. Using high quality products like the MintPear Kabuki and the Beauty Blender Brand Sponge, really make a huge difference.
      Thank you again! I hope to see more of your feedback on my other videos too. Stay safe and have a beautiful day! 🙏🏻💕🔥

    Thank you so much for such an informative and awesome tutorial ❤️
    I honestly came across this tutorial because all my life I have been using a brush to apply my makeup and only today began to use a beauty blender to apply my foundation.
    (Only because all my brushes were wet after giving them a thorough clean yesterday).
    I honestly believe the beauty blender requires a lot more effort and technique to get that flawless perfect finish.
    Whereas a brush is much more quicker and easier to use, all while still achieving a flawless finish.

      Hi Vivian, these bristles are super high quality and very dense, so it doesn't dry up and get hard at all. I do recommend you cleanse your brush once a week to get the best application and to prevent bacteria growing etc. Make sure not to get water up into the inside of the ferrule. I do have a video on my channel on how to easily and quickly wash your makeup brushes.

Also, I don’t currently use a concealer as I don’t have dark circles.. but I really liked how bright it made your eyes look. I will be purchasing some soon. Would you just recommend something very light and not something that will match my skin I’m guessing.

      thank you for your question! I wouldn't recommend using this brush with loose powder. I would use the larger powder brush in the Trio Brush set from Mintpear.com - that is better. Also, your foundation will start caking into the kabuki if you mix w dry powder.. etc.

      khadija ahmed mar7aba! Shookron for the great question. Either way would work well, I personally prefer the concealer afterwards, because I like how the MintPear kabuki Brush has a bit of my foundation on it still, and that helps to blend the concealer well. So it doesn’t have such a strong contrast. Since my concealer is always one shade lighter. Hope this helps! 💕🙏

I don't think there is just ONE brush for all.. but I would say you could get away with using this flat kabuki for your foundation and then a soft powder brush (like what's here: www.mintpear.com/products/face-essential-makeup-brush-trio-set?_pos=1&_psq=trio&_ss=e&_v=1.0 ) for setting powder, bronzer etc.

Once I figured out how to pick the right cleanser toner moisturizer and primer, I was able to figure out how to make my makeup last all day and look better. personally I like to apply the foundation with the flat top kabuki brush with dry skin because I feel like you can get a better coverage and it’s not so heavy looking.
