You're the GOAT in the 2K community imo. Seen a lot of tubers but you just play smarter than any other and with basketball IQ, not with cheese. And you don't brag - at least not as much as others. ;) I like that. Would love to pick your brain on the duo archetypes but I guess you are serious enough about it to wanna test them out a little before giving crazy recommendations. Seems like the defenders in the corner are sliding over in help too much. They get back out to the 3 point line pretty quickly, but if you time it right, you can get wide open shots for Durant, Klay, Curry, etc. just from the AI being dumb.

true thompson defense is horrendous on these pick and rolls lol but the concept is still effective, attack the weak side and it gives you an easy one-two-three read (shoot, pass to corner, drop off to roll man)

Should you ever not use turbo when taking the ball for a dunk or layup?
always use turbo if there is a clear lane.
On what level of difficulty and sliders do you play? I have a feeling that complexity is easier than a beginner because the on the ball defense is minimal and there is no resistance under the ring. Pick and roll defense is shitty. And are you interested in playing like that? With these settings, I can escape from the defenders simply by accelerating away from the defender.

If they catch hedge they give away the pull up three is curry and dame time lol Also don't forget you still have rhythm hesi and the pick and pop. I have to do those tutorials later lol But RC slip force the hedge guy into a losing situation to be exposed other ways

Previous 2K yes because of warping physics. This year you can attack the hip and almost always dip the defender if you are faster. The speed boost from rhythm hesi is too much the dip will get you by the defender guaranteed. You are smart lol I have a tutorial on this exact thing coming out Monday night LOLOL Is to deal with a sagging centre with rhythm hesi or speed boost
and also yah sagging = pull up 3 for free lol

I watched the whole video, excuse me if I missed it -- but where was the momentum crossover in this video?
I taught that in detail in tutorial #1 but the momentum cross was the straight line push to the dribble overtime after the escape. You can see the player speed boost forward after escaping from the screen. That speed burst / momentum is why it was so effective to go into the paint after the ball screen escape. I suggest watch tutorial 1 to learn how to trigger that boost and see the full effect of it. This video was meant to show what that momentum cross + a ball screen would look like. Try it yourself that straight line speed burst will be obvious.
*The straight line LS dribble to the hoop following the escape is where the huge momentum comes from* (how did that got spell checked to dribble overtime i will never know lolol)

Is it only me or is it that in NBA 2K 18 all the bodies look and feel the same while running up the court. What I was scared was it would feel like nba live 18 which is trash in all honesty. When curry runs up with the ball his body and feet movement running is diff then 2k17. What do you think is it only me or do you see it too bro idk?

Sam i like your videos but I am gonna challenge you this year. I love that you teach true basketball execution and strategy....im an Xs and Os guy myself. But this year I'm gonna challenge you to show that your strategies actually work online at a high level. Last year you made a ton of good videos but would never show how they translated successfully online...then you quit midway through the game's cycle claiming that the game was broken and left everyone high and dry.
I was able to get PD Tim Duncan and keep an 80% win percentage in 2k17 by playing real basketball, so the game wasn't completely broken. I want to see you consistently winning games online with your trademark strategies. Because there's no point in using them if they don't work against a human player. Hear me out...this is not a hate message or any kind of diss...but simply a challenge. It's cool to make up these fancy plays with fancy names like KATANA but the only thing that matters is.....is it effective against real competition.
+EarvGotti Have you use them on humans ? But yes that's what livestreams are for I will show online gameplay there. If you want my honest opinion I consider online games weak because they aren't 48 minutes and they aren't a series.
I play my inner circle of players locally and in series. Online competition isn't balance, those W's L's are meh.
20 minute of basketball not done in a series is zero representation of real competitive basketball. With that said yes I will post online MyTeam high level games on stream :) I can't stand play-now too much because non stop GSW party lol

This is my first sports game I'm trying to "seriously" learn. Any advice outside of the videos? I'm pretty terrible, I find myself struggling to pull off these moves. I was the play on rookie and every 3 goes in kind of player so never really had to learn the game lol. Fellow Torontonian too btw :D
