BREAKFAST BREAD LUKMI HYDERABAD

  • Lukhmi is a typical savoury starter of the cuisine of Hyderabad, made with boiled potato and some spices

    Ingredients:
    All purpose flour 1 Cup
    Wheat flour 1/4 Cup
    Salt to taste
    Oil deep fry
    Onions (finely chopped) 2 Numbers
    Ginger garlic paste 1/2 Teaspoons
    Turmeric Pinch
    Green chilli 3 Numbers
    Mint 1/2 Bunch
    Coriander 1/2 Bunch
    Chilli powder 1/2 Teaspoons
    Coriander powder 1/2 Teaspoons
    Cumin powder 1/2 Teaspoons
    Potato (boiled) 250 Grams
    lemon juice 1 Tablespoons
    Directions:
    1. Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, wheat flour, salt, oil make into a dough by using buttermilk and keep it aside.
    2. For the stuffing heat oil in a pan add finely chopped onions, saute it for a minute then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, chopped green chilli, chopped mint and coriander, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, boiled potato pieces, lemon juice mix it well, let it cool down.
    3. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll it like a puri.
    4. Cut the puri into 2 halfs and stuff the potato mixture in each half and seal them by applying water.
    5.Deep fry them in a hot oil till they get a nice color.
    6. Serve hot .

      Anni Benni Every dish has its own preparation method. Certain dishes cannot be altered other wise we will not get the actual taste of the dish.

    looks nothing more than a samosa to me :P but on a serious note we make these in orissa during christmas with a mutton keema stuffing and is called pastool, its one of the best things ive ever eaten !!

      usman ch on samosa coarsed coriander seeds are a must to put.. samosas are not flattened like lukmi...in samosa dough we add some oil but not the curd
