    Hey Natalie, I know this is an older video… But I just have to tell you that it is the very best tutorial on arabesque that I’ve ever seen on social media. I understand now which muscles I need to engage and strengthen. I also understand which muscles not to use!
    Thank you for your content! You’re smart, and you’re talented. And you’re beautiful!

    My goshhhh i love your channel!
    I'm 18yo but i just reached RAD 5th grade last february! :0
    Sometimes i feel like i'm too old to be in 5th grade (there are girls with 14yo in my academy that already use pointe shoes and are in a much more advanced level), but i discovered your channel a few months ago while searching for excercises to improve my tournout, but i watched your other videos and I LOVED THEEEEM. Your tips have helped me a lot and have made me feel that it's ok to be in fifth grade despite my age
    I send you lots of hugs and love, keep making videos pls! 💛💛

    What stretch would you recommend that would allow me to get to the starting position for the stretch at 1:49? I can't move my front leg into such a position at all. (Also, what you show as "almost parallel" at 4:59 is, in fact, my maximum turnout :D )

    • @NatalieDanzaBallet
      @NatalieDanzaBallet  Před 5 lety +1

      You can try the same movement kneeling up on your front knee which will reduce the angle of the stretch. Make sure you use a mat or towel as it will be more pressure on your knee. The important thing is to build up flexibility and strength slowly and then you'll be able to do this sitting on the mat :) It might be your maximum turnout at the moment but if you work on the flexibility of the muscles around your hips and upper thighs you will be able to get to at least 45 degree outward rotation on each foot (obviously it comes from the hip but you can measure from the feet) Good luck! :)

    How many reps for these exercises do you recommend?

    • @NatalieDanzaBallet
      @NatalieDanzaBallet  Před 5 lety +2

      You could start with 4 reps and build up. The more you do, the quicker you'll improve :) Thanks for watching!
