Alexandre Lacazette is leaving the club after coming to the end of his contract.
Laca, now 30, joined us in the summer of 2017, signing for a then club record fee from Olympique Lyonnais. He made 2XX appearances for us, scoring 71 goals with 36 assists. During his time at the club we won the FA Cup and two community shields. He is in our top 10 all-time Arsenal Premier League goal scorers and was our 2018/19 player of the season.
Manager Mikel Arteta said: “Laca has been a fantastic player for us. He’s been a real leader on and off the pitch and has been an important person for our younger players. His commitment with us has been exceptional and we wish him and his family success and happiness.”
Technical Director Edu: “A big thank you to Laca from everyone at Arsenal. He’s been really important for us. He will always be part of the Arsenal family and we wish him well for everything in the future.”

Despite all the banter from the other teams, we all know that laca and auba have given us some great moments to cherish.👊🥺
On top of that he was available to play most games unlike RVP who was always on the treatment table most of the time.

Yep, he was at his best under Emery and that was no surprise. Arteta really wasted him for 2 years, then recognised his worth when it was too late. He will be missed.

One of the most under appreciated players in our club’s history. Even when he didn’t score he always gave his best for us. You can tell he loved this club and it’s sad to see him go, but I know he’ll do great wherever he goes. Thank you LACA!

Up until his injury in September 2019 he was our best player in the squad. 2018/19 player of the season.

Our players are still young.
Laca gives it all in the field the pressure he puts on the other team, he isn't just a striker, he goes back and fights for the ball,just like benzema .
He is a mature player who can captain these new gen players.He can be benched without complains.
He is great with penalties,and assists and a not so bad free kick taker.
He fights to the last minute,the game with wolves is a perfect example.
All the best Laca ,but i think arsenal will regret this decision.
