I like how most characters are their future selves fighting the past, but the gunslinger is the past fighting his future.

I like to think when the gunslinger goes to his past he is fighting a past version of himself, after he became the Lich but before he reached his full potential. Thats why in the past boss fight he only has the one phase plus it would help explain the paradox lich

Best Gun with Synergy is definitely Betrayer's Shield.
Betrayers Lies gives it infinite ammo, a damage buff, and a stronger shield spawned

The Gunslinger does have eyes, they are just covered by his hat.
EDIT: During the punchout phase, once the Gunslinger's health is low enough, you can see his eyes. They are two pistol cartridges, just like the Lich's Eye Bullets.
I love how the gunslinger went full badass on the rat when you went into the punchout section. He was firing his gun instead of punching and then for the star punch we threw a full on pistol whip uppercut.

That gunslingers ashes synergy with scattershot (which they buffed by the way) is amazing. For anyone wondering what the new most broken combo is, it's blank bullets, scattershot, gold ammolet. It seems to bug the blank effect from the bullets to make them blank the entire room. You can walk into a room shoot the wall with a shotgun and everything dies.
The most broken synergy ? Black hole gun.
It adds 3 abyssal tentacles that attack enemies and still swallows all bullets.
Killed the Lich hitless with this.

Someone probably already said this, but the best one is the AWP. It has the arctic synergy, and if you spin around you can get a damage multiplier that bypasses the boss DPS cap. 3 shot the Dragun super good.

you unlock the gunslinger by beating the lich with the gunslinger character after you beat the lich with the paradox character.
you unlock the p̷̩̖̆͘a̸͚̓ȓ̸̢̦͝a̸̠̓̋d̵͔͔́̈o̶̗̍̈x̸̤͋ by : beating a past . Then start a new run with any character and try to look for a void looking thingy , just like in the forge , at the forge lady . step on top of the void , then press (your interact button) . Your character sprite will change into a purple/black glitchy thing . After that all you need to do is kill the past with that character and you are all done.
P.S im saying this in chase anybody wants to know how to unlock those characters : )

That's literally the purple type weapon the Raiden (from its series) uses. Unfortunately, it was never known to be very powerful...not for bosses at least. But it does have very good crowd control, it being able to bounce to each enemy on the screen, and has infinite piercing.
I always went for missiles. The toothpaste gun felt weak
It's literally the goddamn Klobbe. Synergies double its bullets, make it fire Makarov bullets (but those bullets still get the other synergy buffs), and gain perfect accuracy, 10x damage, and like triple fire rate
the 10x damage isn't an official synergy tho, so idk if it will work

Hey Hutts. I found out recently about a completley busted combo. What you need is to play the bullet (I did this with bunny outfit and carrot sword) and give yourself the Ancient Hero's Banana. Then look anywhere left and shoot. You'll find out what it does. Have fun!

The megaman arm (whatever its called) would be so OP because you get all element on the bullets and more + you can charge it.
It's versatile but its boss killing efficiency is the same since you'll be using charge shot. Time stop for 5 rounds, leaf shield for offensive defense, and metal saw is great for room clear and the rest are pretty situational. BUT you should be using charge shot all the way to bullet hell since it 1 hits most enemies. Tbh, I'd rather have fightsaber, excaliber, or casey
It sort of is. I had it and sure you get all the modes but it can eat your ammo very quick and its not as ok as stuff like the black hole gun or akey 47 with synergies
Table tech sight + portable table is a game winning combo, it slows time, provides cover and gives you triple shots which pretty much allow you to set the tables continuously.
There should be a synergy that turns his starting weapon into a tediore

The Gunslinger actually does have eyes. They are visible during the Rat’s Punch-Out phase, and can be seen to the left of the Gunslinger’s health bar. The poncho is likely just the “belt that holds a million guns”, mentioned in the ammonomicon entry for the Slinger (Gun).
eye of the beholder or any of the guns the beholder uses will give you a pretty good synergy called behold where all of his guns circle you and fire at close by enemies.
I remember almost breaking my game with the mass shotgun and scattershot (with gunslinger). Seriously I actually thought it was going to crash every time I shot it

Lil Bomber is a mandatory early pick-up for Gunslinger if it shows up
The King Bomber synergy procs off each individual bomb, and it nets to like 75+ damage on a direct hit.
Never worry about money ever again with that gun
Edit: Fighting the Bloblulord with nothing but the Lil Bomber netted some ~150 casings alone
I laughed too hard at "One fish, two fish, red fish you're on FIRE."
So me and my friend were playing coop (I was Gunslinger, he was Cultist) and we made it to Bullet Hell... and I died almost instantly
There was also this weird bug that made him unable to buy things from any shop
So he did all of Bullet hell with half a heart with only Dart Gun, including Lich
And you didn't know you can drop items to him too right?
You mentioned portable table device and table tech rockets together, what about EVERY table tech item plus the portable table device? Eh? New challenge?

The mahogany gun has a really good synergys It got me to the hollow that is the farthest I’ve ever gotten

Trident has greatest synergy, if you have the bell every enemy you kill causes a slow down time bubble that you move normally through

You should do a custom run with every table tech and the portable tables.
All table tech, portable table, 100 coolness, you can only attack by flipping the table.

Hey Hutts! some tips for ETG.
You can scare the rat away from pickups like ammo by teleporting away to a different room then teleporting RIGHT back to the the thing by using the return portal. You'll be able to enter any adjacent room without the rat taking that pickup. If it was an ammo pickup, feel free to fire away with a weapon that might need a refill.
You get a short period of I-frames whenever flipping over a table, making you literally invincible for a short amount of time!
AWP or Sniper Rifle, since the 360 Yes Scope synergy allows them to one shot every enemy

Black Hole Gun is strongest. Especially if you have ancient heroes bandana.
I know I'm a little late to this video but one of my favorite things to do in gungeon is play as gunslinger with a blessing and rainbow run active, it makes it so you're constantly getting a new gun with all synergies and you can just pick up high tier passives from each rainbow chest, you can get more out of it by quick restarting the first floor until you get a clone out of the first chest :) makes for some really interesting runs
P.S.quick restarting only charges you for the blessed run not for the gunslinger, and I dont do it that often because it can be costly trying to find a clone in the first chest

for those who dont know:awp asimov which is awp + laser? i dont know exactly but if u have awp asimov you could spin around to build damage and 1 shot bosses
So, the mods for EtG kinda work. You can use the EtG Mod Installer and it will give you access to the console, you just can't spawn in anything that came with the Farewell to Arms update, like Katana Bullets for example.

Cactus, is basically an automatic shotgun with insane range, that also shoots out blossoms that shoot even more. I broke every part of ammocandas body within three seconds. And it killed the two litches in under a minute. That gun is just beautiful with bullet eyes.
That's wild, on my first Gunslinger run I also picked up the barrel, the mermaid gun, and gunslinger's ashes. Ghost bullets really made that run for me though. Those fish were OP.

The Theme for this episode is absolutely fishing because Grubs can be used for fishing and Mermaids or Mermen are fish people.

The story behind the poncho is that a gungeon dev said that he would make everything into mimics. So the poncho is a mimic.
Hutts you should do elemental runs
You could do fire, poison, and water/ice
Basically if it looks and/or gives the effect/goop trail it can be added
Also duct tape, chaos bullets & ammolet, science cannon can be added regardless of element
The cactus is really good with the gungslinger, it has tons of ammo and shoots 4 shots in an instant with constant cactus fruit
With scatter shot, every thing dies
so his past is just him reverting the gungeon back to the original form, and he is the lich, thus a paradox time break causing either just a lich is made from the paradox, or thats the lich inside the gunslinger, and the normal one is the paradox
My favourite synergy is probably Casey and Nail gun, because the one bad thing about Casey is you have to risk losing health on every hit.
The Cactus of all things is EXTREMELY busted with Lich’s Eye Bullets.
Buzzkill, one of its synergies makes lasers in between each buzzsaw and the saws shoot out a lil faster
I dont know if you already know it but, with the gunslinger ashes gun, the ghost does much more dmg than the bullets it shoots, so i would recommend to shoot it pretty near to him to max dmg with it
Heroine and Megahand. It gives you all the alt fire without your bullets turning to red.
Gungine has some of the most insane synergies, essentially gives it infinite ammo and turns it into an automatic shotgun.
Best thing about Gunslinger is that he fucking shoots the rat.
Probably the best gun with synergies is the cactus, you shoot 3 huge bouncing needles and a lot of cactus fruits which shoot out even more needles in all directions. Fills up rooms
