But...one of the things that I REALLY love about Black women is how they will stand up in a crowded group of people, at a concert, in a theater, anywhere, and sing and dance to a song that they are feeling. It's just a thing of beauty. I remember seeing my beautiful Black mother stand up at church during a choir song when I was a kid, and she was standing and singing and smiling with joy. I always kept that as one of my fondest memories. Whenever I see Black women stand up, I find it simply beautiful.
