- Welcome to the Cozy Hospital! You've come into our optometry department today for a routine eye exam. Our optometrist will examine your eyes, eye muscles, and the surrounding facial structure. She will then perform some vision tests to check your peripheral vision as well as your visual acuity. She will then take your measurements to be able to write you a prescription for some lenses.

What is ASMR? ASMR is a tingling sensation often felt on the scalp, neck, shoulders and back, although you may feel tingles in other places as well! ASMR is triggered by different types of stimuli. It can be personal attention, gentle touch, hand movements, crinkling, tapping sounds... there are lots of different types of ASMR triggers and everyone is different when it comes to what triggers their ASMR! Testing the lenses was just CONSTANT tingles!!! My very first memory of experiencing ASMR was at the optometrist and this video replicated those feelings exactly. Thank you so much for this!!

The phoropter part was spectacular. I don't think I have seen anyone do it so well on CZcams so far. I love the sound of the lenses changing (also reminded me of the ASMR I experienced at the optometrist's in my childhood).

as someone who’s had eyeglasses for years and goes back to my ophthalmologist yearly, i LOVE this!! so accurate and relaxing tbh shehshd the testing of lenses part really reminds me of my doctor fmdfkfk ive always struggled when it comes to choosing the best lenses between the options that are both clear in my eyes lol
Changing those lenses was crazy😍 the feels i was feeling. How the heck do you just end up with one of those things, the absolute detail you go into is INSANE

As someone who went to an optometrist for years, I wish I had this much care when I went to one 😂 The changing of lenses and asking which one is clearer is so accurate too. That part always scares me in real life because sometimes I can't tell the difference.😅
If the doctor is nice, you can always say that you need a minute to tell or that they're about the same

Unfortunately no. My motherboard blew on my old PC and I lost almost all videos. 😩 I have been trying to recreate some of the old medical ones here.

When you mentioned the whole thing with bending light, that reminded me of a computer game called myst 3: Exile, where one of the puzzles in the game is to get the sunlight to shine to all of these telescope like poles, and each one has a different color, and I had to turn them until the light reaches a door where there's a circle of buttons, and each button has a different color. I had to press the buttons in a specific order to unlock the door to get into a room where there was a book called a linking book.
Oh wow… I actually remember that. I had forgotten about Myst.
@thecozyhospitalasmr I played myst 3 multiple times when I was younger, and I always cheated by using the guidebook. I know I was supposed to do it myself, but I had a plan to use the guidebook until I memorized everything so I could help younger generations know how to play it.

I'm going to my eye doctor this Friday my first time going in like over 15 years and my eye sight just keeps getting worse and I suffer from bad migraines and see flashes and bugs in my eyes it sucks and I have a family history of diabetes most of the time I have my lights off especially in my bedroom since it's hard to focus my eyes sometimes

A combination of ways; some of it is from friends that I know from when I worked in a clinic, some are from my own family’s past health issues lol, some from Etsy, Amazon, eBay.

Yeaaaaaahhh we are working on making it go away. I thought it was my light but something is wrong with the HVAC in the garage and the room I film in is right above it. Also sounds like you have some good headphones!
