This video walks you through the build process from start to finish, showing you what products and plants I have used, and how to layout plants to create an attractive design. I used ADA 60P Tank for this planted aquarium setup. This aquascape style is close to dutch style aquascape.

This aquascape is beautiful. Wish you included a top-down view after planting, to see how you designed the dutch lanes and the layout in general. It would greatly help us beginners to understand better how to aquascape a dutch style.

Water change is once a week. I don’t use the twinstar lights.
Sorry, I meant the Twinstar sterilization device. I realize you used the chihiros light (the best 😉)
It is a chihiros sterilization devices! Since I have algae free tanks I cannot really say it’s working or not 🙁

Your videos are one of the major inspirations for me to start a planted tank. It has been a week since I have started the DSM with monte carlo and S.Repens, but I am facing a couple issues. The colors of most of the MC have faded from lush to pale green and dripping of the leaves of S.Repens. Both being TC plants. So is it normal for the first week or should I be concerned? I keep the lights on for 10-11 hours and mist once a day. I am also keeping the cling wrap open for at least 20 minutes before I mist.
You didn’t put water in the tank?
@@jenpink4298 ofcrz I did. Only so much to keep the plants moist and the soil damp.

Very nice video. I have one question, at what temperature in C do you keep the tank? Is higher temperature of about 27C bad for these plants?
Yes 27 is high!
Micrathemum, Rotalas and Althernatera would handle 27 °C, but only althernatera would be red, other plants would be green. I've tried that, but changed the tank in question more towards Black water. I wouldn't get any colours on Rotalas, but green. Also I used to add CO_2 in that tank, which is tricky with higher temperature for multiple reasons. IMO 22 °C - 24 ˚C works best for most plants.
what do you think about covering up the nutritional substrate ( black substrate ) by sand ?
Why not, but this ismore efficient for lots of colourful and dens plants!
What happens if the CO2 diffuser, filter intake & outlet pipes are on the same side?
In this video, I see that the CO2 diffuser is placed opposite to filter inlet & outlet
Also what is that white round shaped on the same side of filter pipes? Is it also a CO2 diffuser?

I have never been able to get that kind of growth in 3 weeks with either tissue culture, or grown plants. How are you fertilizing? Pretty disheartening because I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Everything attached to each other! My fertilizer routine and combination impact the results, also soil plus caps!
Which of these plants will do good without co2 but with good lighting? (Or the other way around)
All of them in this case, but they won't be as compact, lush or fast growing. Provided you avoid the algae issues. Althernatera, Nesea and Monte Carlo would grow the slowest.
For example I never had any luck growing Hemianthus Calitrichoides 'Cuba' without CO_2, but Monte Carlo seems to grow.

Hi. I'm new to planted aquarium so I'm sorry for the bother but I have a question. Is a light with 5600K, 8000 lumens and 135 PAR enough for the red plants to get their deepest color? Cheers from The Philippines.
I don’t have par meter! It is a basic calculation, 1 watt per litre or min 40 lumen per liter
