This is what Star Wars needs more of. Get weird with it, and go to obscure corners of the galaxy as often as possible.
star wars needs to do a WhatIf like Marvel, the possibilities are endless
@@arafat9828 I’d rather this than What if
I think this is what they should start doing with the movies. Just go anthology with different time periods. It’s all timeless anyway. So no matter what you do it will fit. There is also an episode that would make for a good beginning to a trilogy.
Doctor Aphra is what you're lookinh for then, they're really good star wars comics.
@@genericgamer2836 Well, there are rumours that she could be getting a D+ show, so fingers crossed they'll announce that on November later this year
I don't think the Ronin was redeemed. He was apathetic when the bandits were sacking the village. It seems like he wouldn't get himself involved until he saw his prey.
Once a sith, now their hunter.
I think it's more that this is "just Tuesday" for him. the events of the story are important to everyone but him, as he passes by and goes on his way
Sith hunters? I am aware of at least one sith who hunted down other sith solely because he wants to take revenge on them for what they did to his planet and people
@@Twittershouldceasetoexist Sith Hunter sounds like an awesome name for a spinoff series in the franchise
If you noticed, the second lightsaber blade actually came out of the end of the scabbard.
So he had the saber he drew like a katana, then also had a second one on the end of the sheath for a suprise attack.
A samurai always has two blades after all.
She simply got overly confident. Nice explanation.
Actually, he would be holding 4 blades, assuming the other katana’s scabbard holds a kyber crystal as well.
@@kevinwu5652 Also if they were lightsabers as well. But good point!
it looks like he just sticked together all the lightsabers he has found to make it look like a scabbard and trick the opponent into thinking he only has one weapon
"Have we ever seen a reformed sith"
Vader: Do I mean nothing to you?
He was reformed for all of 30 seconds though xD
@@a3-radio What about Revan, he was a reformed Sith
Vader was a Jedi who fell to the dark and regained his light, I don't consider him sith.
@@Kyraithen To be consider a Sith Lord you must have the title of Darth from what I understand.

they've confirmed with the announcement of the upcoming novel (based on him) that he _is_ a former sith.

I love the Style in each and every one of those Episode, i hope disney realizes what a gold mine this is and colab with these Studios alot more!
I was not a fan of the 2nd episode Tatooine Rhapsody. Of course that's probably because it's marketed for pre-teen viewers. Other than that, the rest were amazing. Especially The Elder.
@@watsondillon1997 I wasn’t a fan of 2, 6 or 9 personally. Every episode, however, has something in it for everybody in my honest opinion, and I think it was done super well across the board.
@@RUSHYRUSHY39 I can agree with that, they all definitely looked masterful in the animations department, but something about those ones just didn't hit for me. Visually stunning, but lacking in the maturity, writing wise
@@watsondillon1997 I think the main idea behind these is to get a bunch of new creatives to come up with a bunch of new ideas and see what they stick. I think people liking some over others is by design when you think about it
Imagine mad house or bones making an episode.
"I ain't dropping shit, bitch" Made me lose it lmao. The delivery was so good lol.
Lucy Liu is the voice actress for the bandit leader. Was super happy to hear her voice.
Dark Side Force user, maybe he used to be an Inquisitor or something. Cool to see a Force-using protagonist that isn't a Jedi. Sith can be "good", it all really depends on the individual and circumstances.
"Sith" can't be good....unless they leave the path of the Sith. Doesnt exactly make them Jedi, but you cannot be associated with the Sith and be a do-gooder, but like Anakin Skywalker you can redeem yourself or be redeemed by someone else, etc. But yes, it does depend.
@@blueroninstudios I mean, they can. Nothing about the Sith code states anything that is inherently evil as a tenet of its belief. Are there a ton of examples of Sith who just use it to gain power at any cost? Sure. But that's not true of all Sith. Marr, for example, and a few others in the Old Republic era were not evil.
@@Sangth123 Then are they really Sith or just aligned with the Dark Side?
@@TheDinohunter2000 Depends, Sith, like the Jedi, are akin to a school or religion, a practiced group with some structure. This guy seems more like a wandering Dark Side user, but, who knows.
Closest thing to a good Sith was a Legends character by the name of Darth Vectivus.
The nameless wanderer could be a Light Sith, if that term still exist in the Star Wars Universe.
Where is my girl Rana at? I was hoping she’d be reacting to Visions.
For now Marketa is enough...
God girl, Chris is a lucky man
i like both sub and dub of this series. while i recommend both options hugely, episode 1 "the duel" the dub version has lucy liu as the bandit leader and brian tee as the ronin.
episode 2 'tatooine rhapsody' the dub version has temuera morrison reprising as boba fett.
I'm already on episode 6.... decided to take a break.. this series is amazing..
There's millions of worlds in the Star Wars Universe; this is one reason I love Visions, it takes us to eight of them we haven't seen before, mathematically there are tens of thousands of stories available that don't involve the Skywalker family or even Jedi, after all with millions of worlds and only 15k Jedi, the vast majority have never seen or heard of them before
10:12 - I think you're referring to "iaido" or "iaijutsu", the Japanese art of cutting while drawing. Very valid observation, especially since the samurai (and I can imagine even the Jedi and the Sith) utilized that type of style and movement as well in their fighting styles.
This episode is so perfect. The style, the characters, the sound. Awesome.
Beautiful homage to Akira Kurosawa whose work greatly influenced Star Wars.
Thought it was hilarious how they immediately start trash talking the dub without watching the dub version. 🤣🤣
Like most cringe anime fans
These episodes are all meant to be outside of canon in order to give each studio full freedom, so we're likely not in any danger of massive Palpatine or Skywalker lore drops. Any odd contradictions to canon lore can be shrugged off and just enjoyed.
The dub is pretty good. Lucy Liu played the villain also if he's a Ronin than he could just be a sith with no master.
another idea is that he became a sith to gain power, but that's it, he just wants power but does not agree with using said power to abuse and take advantage of others. Maybe that's why he hunts siths.
There is a book coming out for the Ronin character. It’s a alternative universe where the Jedi were basically samurai clans that banded together to create a empire. The sith were a clan that rebelled and broke away from the others.
It’s way better in dub
@@TheTruth-13 listen to the 'your lightsaber blade is red' line in dub 5 times, then listen to it in sub 1 time, very clear which is superior.
@@dfsdhjk4780 the dub
9:54 dubs are pretty good. He didn't use the second shorter sword, that was his scabbard. I'm only 3 episodes in I'm trying to stretch this out but personal opinion so far this is my favorite episode, the person I'm code leaching off off likes 2 more but nah it's this one.
Yeah i noticed that too. i was hoping someone else did. i thought that was a cool touch, because of course his scabbard would also be one.
Tbh I wouldn’t mind if this were canon lol it had a lot of cool shit.
Needs to be canon. I need more of Ronin. The potential is endless and they can easily write him inside somehow someway.
@@Jedilord882 i could see it i mean the galaxy is supposedly massive so let his story happen far af so it doesn’t interject with the main stuff.

"Have we ever seen a reformed Sith?"
"No"
Ben Solo force-ghost cries.
He wasn't a Sith
Yeah like it’s literally a common Star Wars trope, a Jedi falling to the Dark Side and a Sith being redeemed again.
9:51 you didn't even listen to the dub guys xD It has Lucy Liu, it's pretty good
“I am one with the force, and the force is with me.”
Bit of background of ronin ( not all details included because I don't want to spoil everything)
Used to be a sith Lord and then he traitors the sith and becomes a sith hunter and then when the sith found out he got a scare on the face.
His light saber was broken so he had to make scabbard out of lightsabers.
>reformed Sith (12:17)
Well, Vader was technically one. In Legends there was also Starkiller and you could argue Revan also falls into that category.
Head canon is that the sheath is a battery pack. The blade only appears when the hilt separates from the sheath.
The lizard bounty hunter’s name is Bossk.

Shout out to the artist and Animators that drew all the episodes
Someone should have told this sith that the Expanded Universe has sith with Blue and Yellow sabers and jedi with Red sabers. It's not the allegiance that makes the blade, it's the emotions of the crystal that chose you.
I thought red kyber crystals had to be infused with an exhorbadent amount of dark side energy to turn red. Or were they synthetic?
@@Mike_Dubo Depends. In the original continuity, Some sith use synthetic crystals, some use Kyber's cousin Lignan, and some red crystals are natural. The "infusion with anger and pain" thing was added by the Vader comics as a retcon.
@@coulsonintahiti Okay, just remembered this:
There was a comic made some time back (no idea how old it was, since it was in some volume collection of various Star Wars related comics), where Sith Acolytes had gotten ahold of Anakin's blue lightsaber that fell into Cloud City's lower levels, and the head guy was about to infuse it with dark side energy, until Luke's son took it back. Not really sure if it was canon at the time, but it shows that at least the idea of turning crystals was around for a while.
@@Mike_Dubo ah, thanks for correcting me!

Gods dammit im slow, i just realized the tea kettle going off was the signal that the droid was ready. Thats why the sound was going off like that so the ronin knew when to activate it. This episode was so goooood.
Kamikaze Douga is the studio behind 2018's "Batman Ninja".
I have one of the coolest teachers ever once we were finished with all of our assignments she put this masterpiece of a show on the projector she could've made us study or something but no, she put on star wars visions (best school day of my entire life) 👍
the "studio" for this episode is just one man by the way.
if anyone's confused about the general plot and setting, it's an alternate history interpretation of star wars.
ABSOLUTELY APPRECIATED that impressed clap there @11:20 🤣🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
The r2 unit hit them with the M³, the Mando Missile Massacre.
There is a chance he might be a Gray Jedi, just because he wasn't really acting Sith like and denied being a Jedi Knight, was more in-between
This feels like somewhere in Afro samurai in the future
So is the whole show reaction up on your patreon? casue imma need to see the reactions to the other episodes too lol
So I think I saw this on another reaction video. But here's what I know.
Apparently in this alternate universe, the Jedi were the most loyal servants on the Empire. Jedi belonged to different clans and fought countless times for power but then a sect of Jedi rebelled and called themselves the Sith.
The Sith rebellion failed (I think that's what they mean by "the war") and the Jedi clans united to form the Empire. It's actually pretty cool and there's a visual novel coming in October based on the Ronin and who he actually is. So he isn't actually a Jedi, but him being identified as a Sith makes for an interesting twist.
"have we ever seen a reformed sith?"
Vader, Kylo, Starkiller, Revan: wut?
The episode 4 is so epic and beautiful🙌🏻
Thank god y’all picked this in sub cause this is *mwah* chefs kiss.
Basically What If Star Wars. This is great.
About his sword i think:
He has a 2nd lightsaber which is in his sheath
So his sheath also doubles as a lightsaber too
He is either a dark jedi or a grey jedi. I think he might be a reformed dark jedi turned to grey jedi.
They didn't realize the sheath is the lightsaber he used instead of the wakizashi
The duel was so fire bruh

Disney and anime is a perfect blend. I hope we get a couple or more of these episodes as full series.
Disney...dew it!!!
I love how they did in Black and White paying homage to Akira Kurosawa old school Samurai Movie.
My theory is that since those stormtrooper bandits had 1st order gear on that The Ronin is a former member of Palpatine's cult and this takes place after Rise.
The dub is not bad at all, even in my own language, portuguese. Disney is usually pretty good with voice acting cast.
18:36 LMBO! I totally missed that!!!
I'd say:
3 are bad
3 are okay
3 are great
So Exactly what I was imagining.. Im hoping Disney will make like a big poll so fans can vote for which studio should make like a full story driven show... that would be cool cuz there are two styles that are awsome.
Pretty sure I'm right on this but he doesn't carry a wakizashi, the second lightsaber is the sheath for the katana which is even cooler imo, because the blade wouldn't actually need to go into the sheath so why not have the sheath as a second saber and keep the cool aesthetic.
wasn't planning to watch this series, but damn if this wasn't crazy beautiful...gonna check it out.
"This is so cool."
Said: 5,000,000 times
Oh you should also do after the matrix is “halo legends” it’s just like this show with different animations
Sith often reform when it's too late. Darth Vader reformed to Anakin as he was dying and Kylo reformed from the Dark side and then died too. Ventress would be an example for a Dark side user who reformed and didn't die right after. Revan is another popular case as he went from Jedi to Sith to Jedi again, like Anakin.
The Sith Woman/bandit leader could've been either a Sith acolyte or Imperial inquisitor, considering her men were likely former stormtroopers I'd say she was a former Inquisitor. Well that and the spinning lightsaber tech is their thing.
The Ronin's sheath was able to emit a blade.
Very much like Yoijimbo with some elements of 7 Samurai. Really nailed the Kurosawa style
The Animatrix has some good pieces and bad pieces. The one which told the story of how the Matrix was created was beyond good.
The ones I remember most was the two-parter with the robot rebellion, the running athlete, and the kids playing around the glitch in the Matrix. Those were the ones that stood out the most to me. ❤️
@@Little1Cave Robot Rebellion was what i was talking about. Brilliant piece of storytelling and animation.

Lmao when Marketa made her Wonder Woman joke then started explaining it cuz no one laughed then just stopped🥺 I felt that

the iron here is this episode feels like kurosawa movie style in a star wars universe... and george lucas was a big fan of kurosawa, so big fan that he took many shots from kurosawa movie into star wars if u look carefully
All the transition wipes used in Star wars films and TV shows are a nod to Kurosawa. It bugs me when Suraj or Chris complain because they're "still using those corny wipes"
@@m.e.3862 The fact that every one knows the transition of star wars itself is a big homage towards Kurosawa

The dubs for these are actually pretty great. I know you're probably reacting to all these in sub and if you do you should at least check out the dub on your own time.
There's a novel coming out about this guy. He's a former Sith.
Also episode 5 is my favorite one, its soooooo good
The lightsaber scabbard has a blade on the end of it
Raven is a reformed Sith
I'm sure people have said this but: y'all should react to Animatrix too before the next movie. It legit adds a lot to the world in 2 specific episodes of that and iirc animatrix is in fact canon.
I Just finished watching all the episodes, what a ride! Honestly all of the episodes were so interesting and entertaining in their own ways. But some of my favorites were this one, Episode 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Some of them were surprisingly emotional and all different.
No issues about cannon, there wasn't really any obvious fan service, really some more earned call backs and similar themes.
I want more of this type of Star Wars
i dont know remember the name but there was a sith lord who stood up for justice
The Wanderer learned everything on CZcams.
If folks are wondering
The reason why he has a Red lightsaber
Is because
He's a Dark Jedi
This is the 50 shades of grey i would gladly re-watch several times.
The dub cast is too stacked to go subs on this one in my opinion. But i generally prefer dubs anyway unless its live action
Thank you studio kamikaze douja. My favorite episode overall
The force sensitive people that aren’t sith or Jedi are called the sentinels and usually use yellow light sabers
Man the one thing I want to watch is to see someone fighting with a ghostfire crystal lightsaber
Long have I waited!
