- In this video recorded by Ross IELTS Academy, we share an IELTS Speaking Mock Test of a candidate with a band score of 8.0. We have inserted the examiner's feedback and the reason why she got that band score at the end of the video.

Talking in a relaxed way is the most important factor for IELTS. Most of us get nervous while speaking, like me. This lady shows us how to be calm and speak in a natural way. I love her way of talking.
She may not be good for some, but she is confident, she really likes sharing her stories.
The examiner is so nice and caring and easygoing, the examinee doesn't deserve an 8 score... Her real score is 6.5 or maximum 7...i wish you all get examined in your interview with such a guy.. Good luck

This is the most transparent and honest test that i have watched, also i am happy to find someone uses "so" as much as i do

She has wonderful story telling skills even she had normal words, it means confident show our ability no matter how confident we are in theory

With an examener like him I would want to take exam every day. His voice is so calming and friendly.

I loved It! She was so calm and bloodly confident, spoke clearly and on her way. She didn't pretend to have a specific accent nor speaking faster in order to impress the examiner at all.

@@user-bb4cp5dy1i There are people think the best way to impress someone (like the examiner) is to pretend havin' a specific accent, therefore, it wouldn't sound natural at all. In this case, it wasn't take place, that's why I say she was pretty good at her job.
Some of the people speak slowly naturally. Her speech is natural in her life

Candidates are being evaluated based on 4 criteria and not only the lexical resources
I don't agree your comment because she is really successful and talking understandable english maybe she must little improve herself so you can't find strange her.
She is not fluent in English, but she is smart because she avoids entering into any details in order to avoid showing her weakness
But I'm still not convinced about 8

Thanks for another useful video. We learn the phrases from our examiner Samson, and we can see the feedback of the candidate. That helps to refuse the incorrect way of speaking. She sounded kinda natural the way she was relaxed. I think she was thinking in her own language though for using some phrases. Well, I'm not an examiner and I'm not going to judge.
