Nah that’s not how it happens. You will only replace shadowmourne with a lvl 82 weapon from a dungeon.
Shadowmourne is 284 ilvl, first green item you get in Cata is 272, so no, you won't change it with your first item.

Idk, the gear is kinda pointless. I remember on launch day, i replaced my heroic ICC weapon with the first quest green and was almost in tears. Get decent gear and quest.
gear isnt completely pointless, you need minimum 232 gear to comfortably do all the initial quests, anything less and the first few quests will be kinda rough. I know this from experience, going into cata with Lv 80 wrath quest rewards on a not so good class and you will be playing like you have cardboard gear and a pool noodle as a weapon until 10+ quests in, and you start getting enough 272 quest gear.

Your post that you previewed at 0:17 is inaccurate. They later changed it from 2.75 to 11.58 per emblem of Triumph/Frost.
From Bashiok back at 9/29/10 - Found in an old Wowhead post. "Bashiok: We’ve revised the Justice Points conversion rate for Emblems of Triumph and Emblems of Frost. When the upcoming 4.0.1 patch goes live, these emblems will be converted into 11.58 Justice Points (up from the previously planned 2.75 Justice Points per emblem). Justice Points accrued above the soft cap of 4,000 will be converted to gold at a rate of 47.5 silver per point (down from 2 gold per point) when patch 4.0.3 goes live."

Thanks for nice videos! I have a question. Im farming the wintergrasp commendation on my characters. But unfortunately, i dont have any arena points that will convert to honor in the prepatch. But wont i be able to do Battlegrounds in the prepatch, that will get me the "new honor"?

I'm having trouble finding the blue post which confirms badge conversion to justice points and I've seen conflicting information on CZcams. Is the coefficient 2.75 or 11.58?
The blue post I found was an answer from a gm on the forums back then

Is it more worth to use the winter grasp commendations now to get 2000 honor and have that change to the new amount when pre-patch hits or do u get more honor if you save them until they reward 150 each?
I would save them, mainly because it allow you to stack more honor. 75k honor can be farmed by doing 5 wintergrasps.
Just remember we don’t know if the WG marks will be removed from our inventory :)

Same, if the badge cap for conversion is 346 I feel like that is achievable but if the coefficient is 2.75 I'm not going to even try
The 2.75 was what they were originally going to convert to, then later changed it to 11.58. He previewed in accurate post. It will be 11.58, so you'll need 346 Triumph/Frost

Have prepared 6x80 lvls all chars JWL/ENG. I think with 5500gs you are ready start lvling in cataclysm. My main priority before cata classic is finish 280 % flying , profesions, lvl alts and on last way go grins reputations , mounts titles xmogs 🎉

Wrath items will continue to give wrath mats :)
So I was on beta and noticed I went from 25/25 quests to 18/25. All of which were dungeon quests. In AN, AK, Gundrak, and VH. I think these were removed because the quest givers either changed or moved into the dungeon. Think I should get 7 new quests or stick with these?

You only need to level profs to 425, you can save alot of gold not trying for those last few points
Well the new profession materials will also be expensive :) but you’re right about only needing 425
Getting WOTLK gear now is pointless. The crafted gear from tailors, blacksmiths etc starts at ilvl 289. That's basically ICC 25 heroic ilvl that you can craft for half a stack of embersilk and a thread.
Also, the 310% flying speed increases your total speed by 410/380 = 1.078 which is a ~8% increase. For five - thousand - gold. Given that you'll need 20 hours to level to 85 and 20% is spent flying then those 5k gold will buy less than 9 minutes. The choice is yours: 9 minutes of faster leveling or and epic or two.

@@WhiteMisteryWeed I'm well aware that 5k isn't too much for some players. I myself sit on a huge pile to spend on crafting goods and epics once cata goes live. I also play most classes and most specs which means I probably will spend 500k. It's just that 5k dropped on bs like an 8% speed increase is borderline moronic. It's just not worth it, not for altoholics like me and not for casual players.

The EXP buff is gone, Honor was gimped to a terribly low amount, an you get maybe 50 jp a heroic dungeon. It's not good right now.. .=(

Cant wait to level a fresh lvl 1 rougue. The cata Expansion is the smallest of them all, tested it on priv server, u wont have any fun leveling from 80 to 85, it takes a couple hours and you are done.
1-80 will be fun for sure, but you’re right that 80-85 will be fast
Bizzard literally said they were converting ALL badges players have into GOLD. Not sure where you got this info, but if true it would be cool.

@@Shiirow Upon further inspection, Frost and triumph will convert to justice points. ALL other currencies should convert to gold. Looking for further info from blizzard themselves, if it is out there.
