I'm in Scotland so it's left hand drive like the rest of UK but (as @JohnMcGuinness6145 says) most current and ex-British Empire countries drive on the left. If I'm driving on the right in Europe, I get prepared by playing Grand Theft Auto 5 for a week before I go ;) . Anyway BE countries are left unless they share a land border with another country (such as Gilbraltar or Canada). Most colonial Island's like New Zealand, Australia etc drive on the left. There are obvious exceptions to both of these situations such as India & Pakistan. Personally I think we should all drive on the right but were are waaaay too far down the road to change now ('scuse the pun).
Actually Britain-or the UK-along with Ireland-Northern and Republic of-Cyprus and Malta all drive on the left. All other countries in Europe, and I guess the world too, drive on the right. Odd really, but that is how it is?
There are 57 Countries that drive on the left. Most are former British Colonies like many Caribbean Islands. The odd one is JAPAN. Never had close connections to the UK but drives on the sensible. Another oddball is Italy, Italian drivers drive on the shady side. (Joke).

As 95% of the population is right handed it makes sense that the strongest hand(right) is always on the steering wheel. Half of africa drives on the left side of the road with right hand drive vehicles.
A tiny country of Malta is another European country that drives like in England alongside Cyprus.

In Europe apart from Malta Cyprus and the UK that drive on the left all the rest of the EU countries drive on the right.
