It’s crazy that Alvarez seen Alvarado four times this series and was able to capitalize, but the Phillies saw Ryan Pressly from the Astros bullpen FIVE TIMES and couldn’t do anything against him!!
To be fair Pressley has filthy stuff . Virtually everything cuts or moves in the strike zone . It’s hard to square up anything . With a power pitcher like Alvarado it’s more about being able to track the location of the fast ball and time your swing to be able to get the head of the bat on the ball . Once Yordan got the head of the bat on the ball it’s just physics at that point . The high velocity of the pitch provided much of the power when it hit the bat . Yordans strength just made it a moon shot .
@@johnmcguire1734 the impressive thing is Yordan has been sitting on breaking stuff most of the season. But like the announcers say, the more looks you get at a reliever the better your at bats will become. Pressly’s breaking stuff is just filthy though for sure

Definitely! Although, I imagine King Tuck was more calm than most. He is great defensively and this was pretty mucha routine catch for him. His making that catch was a perfect cap to the year.

I literally called it before the playoffs started, reason is I sold a very expensive 2020 Bowman Chrome autograph rookie gold /50 & said to my friend on the way home from card show that "watch, Houston will win WS on a Yordan walk off homer in game 6 at home" laughingly & as the playoffs progressed I knew it was fate. Sure enough last night I sat there with a blank stare as Yordan hit a ball so hard it still might not yet have even landed...am I a jinx, curse or just dumb for selling the card??

I can't understand why Alvarado wasn't throwing high heaters or sliders low and away. You never want to throw anything in his wheelhouse in that situation. That pitch got too much of the plate.
