For the phoenixforce game, the human torch moved left and got moved right wich is 2 move actions so because he is in the kp lane again at the start of his turn, he got debuff twice
That’s definitely what happened but the kingpin card text doesn’t communicate the interaction. Its conditions for the debuff are that the card “moves here”, meaning its lane. A move away and a move back should only be one debuff according to the card
Bro i thought it was a bug. I thought it was hitting for each card, once for torch, once for phoenix. I still dont really get it but i think its wrong 🤔
21:43 For those curious: It happened twice because the Human Torch's first move (from Phoenix Force) didn't resolve yet. You can see it didn't flash white after it moved to the left location to confirm the move. Since Regis got priority, he Aero'd the Torch into Kingpin's lane and it resolved there twice (the card flashed white twice after Kingpin's stomp) edit: added timestamp + fixed my writing
@@erhixon773that’s why it got buffed twice but what about the two debuffs by KP? I’m inclined to believe it’s either counting move actions of every card in its late per turn or the_infinull ‘s comment above is correct - it was considered 2 cards instead of 1 Edit: typo
21:45 the second kingpin hit happens when the torch resolved being moved to the left by the opponent. Even though they didn’t move it into the kingpin lane, it was in there when the movement resolved so kingpin whacked it. If they’d had priority, it wouldn’t have worked.
I agree. The juggernaut would've been a better play. Only 25% chance that the movement will resolve the hulk back into the left lane. 1/2 for jugg to move the hulk to right and multiply that by another 1/2 for the hercules to move it back left.
@@DickTracy-zi3iu they are not useless, because they help us learn the game and get better. Regis himself talks about the possible different outcomes of finished matches...

The Phoenix Force interaction is probably because of how move works. Torch is moved visibly on the board but the card isnt "set" left until the opponents turn. So Aero sets torch right with her own on reveal (Trigger one for Kingpin) and then the move from Phoenix happens and sets torch again (second trigger) Its similar to how kraven doesnt get buffed until a card "sets" at his location. So a torch that moves to kraven but gets shang shied doesn't buff kraven because it doesnt have time to "set"
@@Dalek_genocide No I know for sure that isn't the case because I played a Phoenix Force deck against the lock down decks and moved mine into a kingpin that protected the flooded lane and it only got debuffed once. And torch did move twice in a sense. it worked like this: The human torch goes over to left but keeps "hovering" over the location until all other actions are resolved (opponents turn if he has prio or cards you played before you moved your cards). Then aero pulls torch to the right and stops his hovering which is what I call "setting" so kingpin triggers on this "setting". But then torch is like "wait I still haven't resolved my move ability... I should be hovering". So he starts to hover again to instantly sets himself to complete his move ability and gets debuffed again. P.S. In this hovering state ongoing effects are disabled btw that's why old kingpin was able to destroy ebony blades or armor. Also locations don't trigger until the card is set.
The double kingpin thing was probably because the pheonix was marked down as having moved twice, the opponent moved it once and aero moved it once. So what ends up happening is aero pulls the pheonix from its new location back to the kingpin zone, king pin triggers. The opponents cards activate including pheonix force’s attempted move, but kingpin sees a card that was marked down by the game as having moved in his zone which causes him to trigger again.
I actually had a great win in Snap by using Magneto to move opponents into Kingpin this morning, so I was wondering if Kingpin Control could be a meta - excited to see this video when I came into work this morning.! Love the content - Keep it up Regis!
I've been playing this style of deck before the kingpin change it was a ton of fun. Since the change people have just been retreating in conquest after the first game.
I've been having some fun with a kingpin control type thanks build, basically your list here -storm, Miles/Herc for Steg/Blob/Thanos It's nice because so many of the move enablers have such high power, that I can still end up with a really strong blob! And the control with the stones was nice.
I have a confession to make: I once played both Doc Oc and Magneto to Rickety Bridge, and my opponent only had like two cards left at the end of the game. I just had to get that off of my chest. It was one of my proudest moments, but I still feel so bad for that opponent. Hopefully now I can put my dark past behind me.
I've noticed that cards you move like Jeff, Vision, or PF don't finish moving untill the order they were moved is played out. So if you play a card and then move a Jeff, Jeffs power isn't added to that location yet. Since you had priority Aero was able to cement her the move of HT back right before HT was able to cement his move left but it still counted as two moves thus Kingpin pummeled his ass.
@@DickTracy-zi3iu I am not sure what you are talking about. Regis played Shang Chi to be on the save side if opponent plays Blob or similar card. Another thing you could do would be to put Negasonic in your Kingpin lane to stop the opponent from playing in it so that it clears up room for cards to be moved there later.
@21:51 could be because of the phonix force and human torch are combined but king pin still checks each card hence the two time proc on the human torch :)
I think the interaction between the kingpin and the Human touch Phoenix happened twice because it happened one time for Phoenix n Touch each that’s the only thing I can think of as to why he did the rebuff twice
21:45 Whatever ppl can say, this is clearly a bug, the torch moved only once into KP's path, so it shoulda been debuffed only once! Period. The correct calculation shoulda been (7*2 - 2)*2 = 24 as it is written in the details (22:06)
