We were having some trouble with the golf cart and you always had to pull on the choke cable and constantly let it in and out or play with it while driving. After some research someone suggested checking the reed valve gaskets and we remembered that during first test and getting it to run we had a small puff of gas coming out of that area. We wrapped it with electrical tape and seemed to do the trick but I guess after time we forgot about it and it has loosened and now we were having trouble running again. Even before we never had it working completely off choke. Since this fix I haven't used the choke even the first time running it for the day so has been working great now no choke needed for one week now (knock on some wood that keeps up)!

My gear:
I use the Audio Technica AT2020 XLR because I wanted to be able to record music occasionally. If you do not need that then you could just go straight for the USB version and wouldn’t need the phantom power or extra cables. The external recorder is a must when using a cell phone and will help with audio sync when editing.

did you remove the governor off this? it seems to rev a LOT higher than mine does. I have other issues too but yours sounds way healthier than mine

Question..I know this video is little bit older but I have the same cart with same engine but I have a little issue with the wiring to be more specific with the red and blue that comes out of the engine and from the ignition coil

I have the same motor I rebuild the top end. It cranks over but does not want to fire. I have fuel, spark, compression at 115. I bought new reed valves and new carburetor and still no fire what am I not doing need help
Mine is getting to much gas could it be the Reed valve

didnt replace the reed valve just the gaskets he should have go a new one it would of came with new gaskets
