Still unmatched and always a pleasure to see. Great music selection by Di blasio/Juan Gabriel. Piano seems to suit him best.

Although this video is 11 years ago and what you wrote is from 4 years ago still feel like everyone knows now that Johnny had a lot of pressure about skating. He didn't start when he was young he started much much later in life but he never could really get over his fear. His legs often and gave him trouble because of pressure. But as you know he went on to win Awards and competitive skating but he is absolutely a great dancer skater.
Wow, he stays so connected with the music throughout and keeps his level of energy consistent. I hope he never loses the mischievous sweetness. It is rare.

I think some judges may have been prejudiced because of his possible sexual orientation; he's just too "different" for them. Such a shame and a loss for us all But Johnny will persevere and continue his career in other venues, I know. We wish him well indeed!

i know people have a right to freedom of speech but people really do need to think about what they post on public forums - whether gay or straight, black or white - whatever - you dont get to be a 3 time US champ by winging it - he is the total package - graceful and athletic - who lives his life the best way he can being true to himself - giving 100% on and off the ice - thats what i felt when i met him - what more can you ask of someone when they represent the USA - ROCK ON JOHNNY!!

Definately underscored on this one. His scores were lower than they should have been on footwork and spins BUT his sheer presence on the ice, attention to detail, speed, flow, effortlessness would have annhialated all the competition in the 6.0 system. I'm still shocked that he fell from the good graces of the ISU and USFSA, they could have capitalized so much on his skills and personality to increase the popularity and notariaty of skating, but instead they chose to shun him.
wow I beginning to realize that he he is one of the biggest trailblazers we have right now who is redefining what it means to be a man -sexuality is a continuum...Sports is threatened by this and I think he is to be admired for his commitment to being himself.

This was one of your most amazing performances Johnny! It was the best of the night and got the best standing ovation. You should have gotten an 88 or 89 on this. I wish the FS could have matched this, hopefully it will in Vancouver. He should definitely try for the quad in his FS at the Olympics. He did a beautiful one during the warm up.
