Could you please make a video with a baby doll or something and demonstrate correct ways to hold your baby? I have this in my wrist already, it hasn't acted up in a while but I'm 7 months pregnant. Last time I had it I went to the urgent care crying in pain.

Pregnancy also can cause carpal tunnel.

Carpal tunnel is caused by excessively repeated hand/finger motion like that of typing on a keyboard. How does pregnancy in and of itself cause carpal tunnel?

I have never suffer from hands feeling nub or carpel tunnel and i do admistrative work. However, during both my pregnancy the nubness on my hands and carpel tunnel is very present specially hitting the 32 weeks. So painful to not allowing me to sleep. During my first pregnancy 2 months postpartum , i decided to go to a hand specialist and he told it was the Mami wrist . He advice to follow the same steps. Is so painful but usually disappear about 3 months postpartum. At least in my experience. Im glad you touch this topic. I never heard of it or anyone experiencing this until i decided to consult the specialist.

I have this from school and holding a pen incorrectly. 10 years of pain, flares and wearing a brace and still going.

I never experienced this to the best recollection of my ability (I have 2 teenagers, 1 two yo, and 1 six mo). I learned about keeping my wrists straight in keyboarding, bowled on teams when I was a kid, but that's it. I also played house, babysat an infant and have 3 younger siblings.
With my current babies, I wonder how I knew how to care for my now teens as babies. I feel like I went on instinct with all four. Or maybe I watched and emulated other Moms.
My advice to anyone at risk of Mom's wrist....try to be conscious of keeping your wrist straight and in a natural resting position as much as possible. Use your hips and shoulders or use carrying aids. Support baby with your forearm instead of your hand. I hope my habits help someone but I recognize they might not be and I'm just lucky to either not experience it or not remember it.

I messed up the tendon in my wrist that connects to my thumb back when I was in high school cause I had the smallest hands and could reach parts of our robot best so I was responsible for wiring and the motherboard maintenance. Never knew the exercises I learned then would help me be a mom 😅😂

My wrists started getting very painful and paralyzed since the second trimester. I can't make a fist for the first few hours after sleeping. All docs say there's nothing to be done, wait and see if it gets better after birth. And now you're telling me there's another one waiting right after jeesh

Omgoodness I have this soooo bad... I still can't lift anything with my left wrist. I have carpal tunnel in both wrists, had surgery on the right, and De Quervain's tenosynovitis is 10x worse than the carpal tunnel ever was. My baby is just 8 months and expecting my second..I'm so nervous about it getting EVEN WORSE after #2. 😅

What is the name for fat joints after becoming a mom? Seriously. My youngest is four and it isn’t weight gain. My rings had to be resized. My friend at church has a 33 year old daughter and both of their feet got bigger permanently after giving birth. Me fat hands. Them fat feet. Got to be an explanation for that.

Why do I feel stupid? I have done this all of my life as a big sister. Why did the human race suddenly forget how to be parents? It's embarrassing.
