Hi I am Mommabear2many many! Mom to 14 children 12 of my children still live here at home. We have a baby due in October! Join me in my day to day life as we prepare enough food to feed a small army! We will grow and harvest food on our homestead and do grocery hauls. Just our lives as a large family trying to live for the glory of God! Won’t you join us?

I’m praying your vehicles get well soon. 🙏🏼 This brings back memories of experience with broken vehicles. It seems as if every time my husband had a military exercise where he had to be gone for an extended period of time, something would happen to the vehicle. One time when we lived in a small village in Germany as I brought him to the base at 4:30 am, and he was leading the convoy for a 3 week exercise, the brakes went out just as the convoy pulled out. It was a country road back to my house with no stop signs so I did venture home driving at a crawl. I didn’t have any other way to get home.
Another time I headed to my dr Appt about 30 miles away in Bremerhaven (at 8-1/2 months pregnant) the wheel came off. Praise the Lord it was one of the only places in the road where there weren’t trees planted on the shoulder and that my other children weren’t with me. I did end up in the ditch. For my dr appointments I usually had to walk to a bus stop - wait an hour - catch another bus - then walk to the hospital with the older children - but I had driven that time.
Another time our van engine (between the seats) caught fire.
Anyway, I’m sorry you had to cut the trip short but hopefully you’ll be able to go again.
Maybe camp out in the woods or the cabin and pretend your on vacation. 😏
And one day you’ll look back at this time and see how all things worked together for good - and maybe even have a few laughs as you reminisce.

Crazy time you've had! You are sooo blessed to have your home paid off! I'm chunking down extra money on ours every month, and it's super exciting to know ours will be done soon. That's the best thing to have paid off, I think. I'd much rather have a car payment than a mortgage payment. I think you did the right thing too, by not taking out money on your home. Better to have the home free and clear in this day and age with the economy the way it is. Hope all goes well and you get your van sooner rather than later. Ugh, paperwork and banks! That's always the hold up on stuff, huh?
Yes kind of how we feel as well. In a pickle we would rather have a vehicle repoed than a house 😂. We have never been in that situation but kind of how we were thinking
Your last few months have been tough for sure. This too shall pass. Youre going to get thru this momma bear. Please don't feel like you have to explain your personal business. I understand if you feel like you can smooth things over and I get that. I just hate you feel like you have to explain everything. It's none of our business what you do or how you spend money. I'm so sorry for all you are going through. I'm praying for you. Bless your family.

I remember when I had five little at home I had a car that I had to add water into the car when I left home and could dive 15 minutes and have to add water again… these things make you stronger!

Yes does make your stronger. I’m ok just trudging along with the next thing to do. Focus on things I can work on verse those out of my hand.

I'm so glad you were able to celebrate your son's birthday even with all the challenges. Praying that it will all get worked out quickly and for the best with the "new" van and that you will get the needed repairs done as well. We've had our fair share of vehicle issues over the years. You what is best for your family. No one else knows your position with your finances. Neither they should. We tell no one about ours. Camping is so much fun but because of my husbands illness and needing dialysis we can no longer go. Hubbies health is far more important.

When we had Bobby we could not camp either. We bought a handicap camper in sept 2021 for him and he died Feb 2022. We did get in 2 small camping trips that fall though.

Must be the year and time for car trouble everyone I know has multi car trouble. Hugs to you car trouble is the worse. I have never bought a expensive car I buy them cheap and drive them till they die. So man I understand your trip LOL. Praying for you all

Do none of your adult children have their own vehicles? My oldest is 19 and she has a full-time job so she owns her own car.
I’m glad for your daughter. My girls help me a lot picking up pig food babysitting.We are perfectly fine them sharing the vehicle we are happy to bless them in this way. They help with the insurance. Thankfully the way there jobs are it’s not an issue to share. 😊
