Jay candidly shares their perspective as an Autistic, non-speaking AAC user. We must all #Listen to Non-Speakers Transcript: docs.google.com/document/d/17...
We are so thankful to Jay for this contribution to the Intersectional Infinity Summit. We all need to do better listening to non-speakers! Thanks for your feedback, @Greendolphin03
Hi Jay. Thank you for articulating what you are thinking and feeling so beautifully. I have a brother with autism. He is in his fifties, as am I. He uses some facilitated communication but only with my mom. I would love to connect with him more. Do you have any suggestions? Denise
Hi delizabeth delizabeth, may we suggest checking out Jay's blog: jaysworld20.home.blog and also "Ask Me, I'm an AAC User" on Facebook? Jay is also on Twitter but I will ask that you check out their website first. :) We are so glad you enjoyed Jay's video, and we hope this is a next step to helping you learn your brother's language. All the best!
