    Nocebo effect everybody
    youtube does not allow frequencies over around 17khz
    if you don't believe me click the sound icon in the low right of your screen, you will see no green bar of sound playing. test this on any 20hz-20khz video, the green bar will drop to nothing around 17khz

      Completely correct... I check it myself and there really isn't any sound registering from my PC's volume mixer. Thanks for the information, learned quite a lot just checking videos like these.

      I've played a 20 khz tone on audacity before and it literally hurts your ears, but my speakers can certainly hit the note.

      +PwnageShampoooo So all these mofos that said they can hear it... Well that's funny. It reminds me of taking the hearing test at the doctor's and thinking I heard something but didn't really. Anyway, I noticed my audio interface wasn't picking up the sound either, so I didn't feel so bad after wards lol

      think they changed it now. My pc is picking up sound and I can hear it.

    Unfortunately, CZcams's codec doesn't appear to support notes this high, it doesn't actually output any sound (check your volume mixer).

    I'm using amplified speakers (Creative I-Trigue 2.1 3300) and when I max it out, there's a faint noise, similar to that of a CRT TV on a blank white screen with no audio.

  • @will_silvano
    @will_silvano Před 8 lety +6

    I don't hear anything. My audio interface didn't even pick up any signal when I played this.

    • @will_silvano
      @will_silvano Před 7 lety

      But my audio interface should have lighted up and showed me that sound was being played, audible or not. I feel as if I've been duped here. I don't think any sound was being played.

    • @Janos23
      @Janos23 Před 6 lety

      There's a chance your audio equipment just doesn't go that far up. OR it could be youtube has compressed the audio OR your audio drivers automatically cut off sounds that might be painful to hear, which some are set to do by default.

  • @BigMobe
    @BigMobe Před 10 lety

    I only can hear this on 720p setting with speakers turned way up.
    At first I thought it was feedback, but stopping the video also stopped the sound.

    You're fine, I'm a teen and I can't hear anything either. It seems, however, that my (and probably your) computer isn't picking anything up. This is probably due to CZcams's dreaded audio compression.

    CZcams cuts the sound off at 16 kHz. try www.onlinetonegenerator.com, or one of the sound apps.
