- This video shows how well the 2023 Ariens IKON bagger works (or doesn't)
Be sure to check out the section where I broke it!
This bagger fits all the deck sizes on the IKON, ONYX, and Gravely ZT X & ZT XL mowers.

Just bought the same machine. hopefully my bagger will be here tomorrow. like your vids. I may have to do some slight mods for mine because I built a custom hitch. front and back. but got plans thanks for the video, should make my installation go better,
Thats exactly one of the reasons why my brother just bought a Wright Stander. The operator is at the very back of the machine. No need to worry about swing clearances.
Stand-ons are my absolute favorite mower! If I was ever going to start a lawn service again that's all I would own. I really like the Gravely Z-Stance. It's light, very agile, and would be perfect for residential lawns.
I definitely learned the hard way to leave room behind me before pivoting around! Unfortunately for me and my learning process, I broke a couple of off the rubber latch straps against chain link fence, and they're not cheap!
I'm more careful now!
Paul, another great video. I really enjoy seeing your videos and always look forward to seeing new ones come out.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! (Even if you're not a John Deere guy) :)
Actually, I like two John Deere lawn tractors. The current X584/590 and the original 110.
Hi Paul. Does your machine vacuum up leaves? Mine tends to push a LO of leaves out and away. I tried lowering the front blade deck pitch. Still throws a lot out of the desk and a lot of dust. Any suggestions?
The leaves in my area haven't started dropping yet. As soon as they do I'll make a video and let you know how this one does.
That said, I suggest taking the blower tube off and just mow the leaves once. That will chop them up some and they will mix with the grass clippings a little. Then go back over with the bagger. The smaller pieces and the grass clipping should stay under the deck better.
Very good video greetings from Canada
Wich blades do you recommend for best bagging performance either leaves or grass ?
In this video I use the stock blades that come with the mower. The new deck design and the new blade design allows the deck to get the grass out as fast as possible.
In other words, the stock blades are also the best blades for this bagger.
Any videos of the power unit for comparison to the setup with nonpowered? I remember you saying you had/have both at some point.
I do have the power unit but the standard unit works so well I have had no ambition to install the power head and try it out. Unless you mow/bag a lot of new wet grass I don't think you need the power unit. (The new deep deck and the stock blades are the key to why this works so well)
Good job it goes better Paul (ty Ron Kapuskasing )
Hello Paul. I know my question has nothing to do with your posting, but what is your opinion on the Ariens platinum limited edition 90th anniversary 24 in SHO?
It's basically the Great Lakes Edition painted in the original Ariens Sno-Thro colors. The engine is labeled Tecumseh but it's actually the 369cc LCT. You won't be disappointed in the power, the capacity and how it looks!

I have a the same mower, where you get the bagger, I like to get one.
You have to get it through your local Ariens/Gravely dealer. Here is a page to help you: www.ariens.com/en-us/part/grass-bagging-system-2-bin---6-bushels-81800100
@@PaulSikkema thanks
Where did you purchase your bagger at?
Through my local Ariens Dealer. I've noticed the big box stores have it listed but it's never in stock. If you want to purchase the bagger and the powered bagger unit you WILL have to go through a dealer to get it.
@PaulSikkema I have the ariens ikon 52 and everywhere in researching people are telling me that a non powered bagger doesn't exist for my mower. I have a 2023 model mower, what year is your unit? I'm trying to find this one without putting in 1700 for a bagger
Just to verify - you have the IKON 52 KAWASAKI Model #918005.
