It bothers me how some people constantly bash the Twilight book series, and say that Stephanie Meyers isn't a good writer. Twilight is objectively one of the greatest book series of our generation. It has entertained millions of people (which means it has fulfilled the purpose of a fictional novel). I will continue to make CZcams videos defending Twilight from all the unwarranted hatred it receives and explaining why Stephanie Meyers is a great writer.

Im not a fan of twilight but i wouldnt refer to it as garbage at all. Actually, its more a good vampire-werewolf story than a good love story

beauty lies in the eye of beholder.. we have a different taste, that´s all :).. just for the record, i don´t judge her looks by her writing skills :)..
Didn't care much for the craftsmanship or generic genre tropes--Puleeeeze, not another vampire-werewolf trope with a human in the middle who obsesses over forbidden love. But G-damned if she couldn't keep you hooked and guessing through all the plots for the next reveal, which never came and kept on stringing you along.
Damn well done, Stephanie. You might not bump one word against another in legacy fashion but you sure are an emotional button pusher and tease.

No, the reason it is so popular is definitely not because she is a good writer, which I am not saying she isn't, but the reason the series is so popular worldwide is because the female protagonist is essentially a blank page for every teenage fangirl to pretty much project themselves onto and fantasize about being with a 'sexy' vampire and/or werewolf. Compared to other writers, her novels and characters have no depth or meaning, they are all blank pages.

There certainly is a point to make that she's not a good role model, however she is a strong character personality wise.
I agree on Jane Eyre tho. Jane made the choice to leave Mr Rochester, whereas Bella would never even try to move on without Edward.
