I was working as a call centre executive for 2 years from 2012 till 2014 but after realising how am i gonna to look after my kids and wife after marriage, working late night shifts and all, i quit my job. Came back home, was jobless and broke. started preparing for competitive exams. Didnt succeed initially but after 5 years of hard work i finally cleared both staff selection board and state civil services. To all those youngsters who think they can clear the competitive exams start preparing now before its too late. And for those who dont want to dedicate their time for studies but keep working in private job, my recommendation will be to save money and invest it for ur future.

Gave an interview but unluckyly i was not selected for not being fluent with my English speaking skills.. Head back home and started a poultry and pig farming.. now im earning 30-40k or more monthly with zero expenses on HOUSE RENT, TAXI FARE, LIGHT BILL, WATER BILL. With the money i got i could join CHITFUND of 30K monthly as a saving.

Good to see upfront people disclosing their salaries.
Some people in this comment section are quite timid and disheartening. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon or willing to suck their parents hard earned money, hence, looking out for alternatives to help the family or to at least become a self-dependant.

As a human being everyone has a desire to know how much someone's making per month or per day. How much you earn doesn't define who you are as a person. Lots of us has negativity concerning BPO industry. The importance should be on "What do I make of myself in life working anywhere?" Industry doesn't define anyone, its what you become at the end. Always stay true to your job, Stay committed and Focus on your true Self. Shine wherever you are, then you will always be remembered, if not from others but atleast from your own...

From my experience, I would say that a job is a job and instead of sitting idle BPO or KPO are favourable opportunities to opt for to earn but not for people wanting to pursue other field of work. One thing though is to stick to a company that offers growth and provides good working environment, if it is not the case than earn and get out of the industry to pursue your own business ventures else you never know how time flew by and in most cases it becomes stagnant without any progress not forgetting the attractive lifestyle some industry offers giving priority to its employees. In such industries , there are expectations to be met with work pressure too and some even offer opportunities to work abroad in the long run so there are always pros and cons and despite everything, you gain a lot of experience too apart from the office environment. For those pursing further education, try to stay away because it will prove to be a hindrance.

Let me clarify one thing here guys
Many people from Nagaland or other parts of Northeast thinks that call centre means scamming foreigners because majority of them do that and get paid by scamming Americans or Canadians
The saddest part is that majority of them working in scam call centres are either class 8 failed, 2,3,10 or whatsoever and some of them directly comes from village and joins such companies because the company doesn’t require any documentation or an interview because it’s an illegal job.
This month According to the news report the total of 155 agents from NE mostly from Nagaland from scam call centre’s got arrested by the CBI and they’re all behind the bars now and they have been told to hire a lawyer for themselves 1 lawyer per person.
Education is very important wherever you go so it’s better to have a legal degree documentation and work in a legal call centre🎉

Yes, IEnergizer offers an amazing salary as compared to other Companies. However, they have lots of deduction and they do not provide cabs. The main drawbacks of joining IE is, it is a Blacklisted Company, and their HR are extremely unsupportive when you need them for verification after joining another company. Anyone who is unable to clear the interview in other good company will easily clear the interview in IE. The workplace is toxic as the Management Department is quite poor in managing, so it's better if you don't join IE.

There are so many people taking care of their family by working in the BPO industry, you just need to be sincere and should work hard.

Pretty much unemployed in Government sector n no energy to drag myself again back to the night shift. My advice don't get too comfy if you're not meant to stay there for life, the work is taxing n takes a toll on you. I am a bit surprised that the salary has not change much. I worked in a BPO company in Gurgaon back in 2005 and was drawing 30-40k a month. I have many beautiful memories but I must say that if one is not careful, working red eye shifts for years can have a serious toll on your health and 30-40 k will be nothing if you are not disciplined because after paying rent, bills , basic needs, parties etc. the money just goes back to the capital residents and you are left with nothing to take back home.

Respect your Work and you will be respected. These sectors are the fastest growing industries for your kind information... making more money than a government employee on the same level. The only drawback is that its not permanent. Pick a good company where there is scope for extra earnings like OT Bonus and incentives... Trust me you will be able to get things done quickly. If you know how to save... you are all set. Its all about how you handle yourself. No disrespect to anyone... Peace ❤

      > Why do most BPO jobs have higher starting salaries that other job sectors (i.e. related to fresh graduates' actual courses)?
      - We don't have retirement plans. Once you retire from your work as a BPO employee, that's it. The only pension that you will receive will be coming from SSS (if they don't run out of money).
      - We have hazard pay (because most of us go to work at night), complexity pay (on how complex/technical the account/program that you are handling), and other allowances like rice, clothing, laundry, transportation.
      - We also receive better pay because most of our employers are foreign companies. They outsource jobs in india because it is cheaper here.
**You have to take note though that not all BPO employees are earning higher rates. There are BPO employees that are serving local accounts (Flipkart, tatasky etc ) and they are usually within the standard average monthly salary

Everyone has to work to survive and as long as one work for genuine company its all good. However, its very important to be diligent not to fall prey to quick money and work for those companies that scams people, looting people's hard earned money. One may earn good money but at the end, years of hard work goes down the drain as one can't legally use experience certificate to hunt for jobs further.
Therefore, it all boils down question of whether the company is legal and hence is genuine.

Ignore the nagative comments, If you are smart enough, get experience and join good organisation, you can easily earn more then 50k/mo. However if you have health issue, I wont recommend it or else it is really a good field to earn money. (There are also Naga people who are promoted to Manager, HR etc and they earn around 80k, so there is growth).

I have never seen anyone who came back home corepati or contribute anything to society back home. There is something wrong with the money here , meanwhile people like here in Nagaland earning between 30 to 60k have a bigger donations and contributions in church's, students union or any welfare upliftments.
