Not a fan of either team but cychrun for ulmark makes sense to me as fair value and would be fine cap wise

@mike8099m If I'm Ottawa, I'm not adding anything else. What other team will offer more? Maybe if they want futures, but if they want a roster player, Chychrun is as good as they'll get. There could be an argument that the B's should add. Both goalies had great numbers. So that likely means they play behind a good defensive system, moreso than both being vezina level talent wise
@@scottmiller8617 bruins don’t need another defenseman tbh there stacked. I’m thinking there is a three way trade coming with Philly. But I know the current price was a roster player a first and a prospect. Other teams interested are Carolina Toronto Utah Colorado chicago and San Jose. Edmonton if they loose

Because swayman is younger, better, and needs to get paid. This was known when they signed the ullmark deal he would eventually get traded. It's why he was given a modified ntc his final 2 years of the deal

@@SukeynaMohammed You're not wrong, but do you think Ullmark wants to be a backup when he's capable of being a starter? Contract year coming up, he wants to get paid like a starter. Also, ego. I doubt he would be happy with himself being a back-up playing 30 games when he knows he can play 50+.

You use areas of roster strength to improve areas of roster weakness, and the cap is a factor also. Super easy to understand
Ullmark is an amazing goaltender in the games I have watched. I don’t think for a minute that Ottawa would improve by having a goaltender of Ullmarks calibre unless they get a strong offence as well.
Ottawa was bottom 5 in goaltending this year.

Statistically, if they had gotten slightly below average goaltending this year they would have been a playoff team.
Chychrun for Ullmark? Yes. If the B's want ottawa to add more, they should walk away. One rumor was Chychrun and a first. Not a chance I'd give up that much

I wouldnt give the the 7th overall pick a, roster player and a prospect /other pick , for a goalie only to leave a year later. If he had a 4 year contract , i would give them a 2025 1st overall top 10 protected .No Chychrun , no Pinto, only branstrom or Joseph , and that's only if Ullmark signs an extention for at leat 3-5 years. The 7th overall will add another quality defenceman.I would let Norris go , he's injured all the time and will he be any good the 3rd time around ? Sign pinto , keep him .Not alot of players want to come to a Canadian team let alone stay. Keep the 7 th overal keep Pinto . Chychryn has value , use it
