If The Doors wrote Enter Sandman

- Here's the old classic Enter Sandman but it the even older style - as if The Doors wrote the song!
My main song influences were 'When The Music's Over' and 'Soul Kitchen', I felt like they've translated really well into Sandman, with some extra changes of course.

what about Baroness doing Riders on the Storm?
Or Three Inches of Blood doing Riders on the Storm!!!!!
Type O negative covering Døvydas "welcome to the center of the modern world"?
Someone had mentioned type o negative doing nights in White satin I think that would be awesome
@@jasonwells9050Already done that with October Noir

Every part is perfect, it's crazy how good this is.
Huge thanks!
I agree 110%! Denis is awesome.
IT'S ALOT BETTER...
Could have been a hit. This is so spot on! Thanks for posting.
Damn a comment from the shirtless Godfather of punk.
This is unbelievably good. The slow pace, Jim Morrison take dead on, fuzz guitar, organ playing the main Sandman riff. Sounds like a classic Doors song and a good one.
Try it on 1.25 speed! Even better
Right, almost sounds like when the musics over
And… dare I say… much better than the Metallica version.
@@silencionomusyou can dare say it yes. But you’d be wrong, of course.
Its basically just 'soul kitchen' with different lyrics
Takes a special type of creativity to accurately be two different bands at once while still being unique.
Going over 6 minutes is exactly what the Doors would do.
I find that a lot of "cover" songs don't really do anything new in comparison to the original song and sometimes they're even worse.
This version sounds much different and using the Doors style as a source of inspiration. It is very well done.
I can imagine The Doors actually doing this song.
I had a nightmare about that and it went exactly like this.
I know right..
It sound a lot like “When the Musics Over.”
It would sell.
And now we need stoner doom version of "People are strange". 😊
As done by HELLYEAH.
Good call! Currently, the closest thing to that is my TON version of this song. 😎
czcams.com/video/qZnbF33xg-I/video.htmlsi=11CFFSESfX3XDH5C
Yep, like a c o c version
It thought it was kinda already in that territory? 😂
Yes!🤟🏽
Dude, I am a MEGA Doors fan, and I am IMPRESSED! I rarely see this type of justice done to a band
Trump fans are not aloud to like the doors. Go listen to your fascist racist kid rock or whatever and leave our stuff alone.
Doom is right. Impressed here too. The Dooms.
I do like this Doors tribute too, but the source material - Enter Sandman - is the worst Metallica song.I know it was their entry into the mainstream, but I think it's just because this song was pushed so heavily.
@nekad2000 Enter Sandman is overplayed to Hell and back but they have leagues of material worse than anything on the Black album.
@@SkilletTRO oh, I'll admit a lot that came after wasn't good. Anything from lightning, puppets, and justice I could listen to anytime.
I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude! 😂 This is very well done. I am big fan of both bands, and I loved your brilliant take!
😂
Tropic Thunder!! Nice!
I'll never understand you people.
This...this is a masterpiece! It works SO effing well as a Doors tune that i am completely blown away. You sir, are insane in all the best ways
Glad you like it! Thanks! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yeah this was amazing actually.
Та це, блін круто!
I’m ……I’m……I’m blown away…..
Again, tone-deafness in the comment section. This Doors impersonation was very stock and relied on late-sixties, psychedelic riff cliches.
An OLD fan of the Doors and Metallica, you nailed it! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much! 🤘🏻
You had me chuckling in recognition from the first note. The Doors have such an amazing, distinctive sound!
Now I will always have an image in my head of Jim singing Enter Sandman. Great job😉👍😀
When the Sandman's Over, When the Sandman's Over, yeah
When the Sandman's Over, Exit Light, Enter Night🤘
Immediately thought of that song when it started playing.
@@mikebiliamanator2129it's literally when the music's over but with enter sandman lyrics, sad
The heavy dreams ain't of Snow White🎸
The heavy lying dragons won't bite🎸
You missed a perfect opportunity to imitate one of Jim's spoken word monologues on the prayer part.
Oh damn ... you're absolutely right!
Seems like the two minute mark was right for that.
He did. Because the prayer part was one of Morrison's live monologues. He used to do it in Soul Kitchen if i remember correctly you can hear it recorded in the next album: "LIVE AT THE AQUARIUS THEATER: THE FIRST PERFORMANCE (THE AQUARIUS THEATER, HOLLYWOOD - July 21, 1969)"
@@wolfman-vt2zr good catch. Sounds like he sang it just like this that time.
@@AJ-on-youtube or that it was the only one recorded
I clicked on this video for the LOLs. I stayed for the epic reinterpretation of a classic. Turns out there was no joke. No clickbait title. Just awesomeness.
You have a new fan, sir! 🫡
As a very old man, I give this five stars. Brilliant job guys. Wow.
I want to hear - 'The White Rabbit ties Alice up in Chains' - What if Alice in Chains wrote White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane?
Kinky!! 😮😂
Dude...I could stand a full album of this. This is a *very* convincingly done "Doors" song!
Now don't go too far, he would have to try very hard to squeeze out several songs of that quality or higher to get even close to the Doors. It was a great channeling of the Doors and yes I would like to see more. Area to try harder was the guitar playing. Study and emulate even more from the master Robby Kreiger. Who is still with us.
I can’t believe how perfect this is. This is a new peak for “what if _ wrote _” videos. This probably can’t be topped.
I used to listen to the Doors a LOT in high school. I'm a big music fan. This is so well done! Thank you!
It's genuinely sickening how good this is. Great job!
Wow! I am 60 and I would buy this record if it were to be sold in a record store. Great work Jim Morison, I mean Denis. lol.
46 here and I was just thinking the same!
66 and couldn't agree more
36... and agree
It’s on Spotify with several others
You have it right now.
I laughed at first when I heard "say your prayers" but then I was like damn this is for real good! You could throw this on a The Doors Greatest Hits compilation and most people would think it was a B Sides or unreleased track. Bravo sir!
That is the dumbest not true thing I've read since the 70's.
The brain-dead lyrics would give it away :P
My thoughts as well!
Nah the Jim vocals are way off, Jim had a lot more variance and dynamics in his delivery. Really liked to sex up the mic.
Still a banger cover though
@ginemginem how is it brain dead lyrics? It's a song about nightmares. James hetfield is one of the beat lyricists in metal history put some respect on that shit...the lyrics work alot better as a metal song clearly that don't make them "brain dead" but I get it, it's cool to throw shade at Metallica I mean all the cool kids are doing it right.
You had me at intro organ, “Yeah” 00:51 🤣🤣🤣
My ears do this to music no matter what I hear. Awesome job brother.
Man oh man this is simply incredible
Appreciate this, thanks!
Yes!
I think this is the best one I've heard!
This deserves a sub and a thumbs up, great job.
It would have never occurred to me that this is 100% a song that would not be out of place on a doors album. Top notch.
I'm really surprised it worked to be honest. Sounds just like a doors song.
Wow!! You captured The Doors sound. Took me back to day.
This gave me chills! Love both bands! Made me miss Jim! Incredible!
Its crazy because the lyrics actually lineup with what Morrison was writing at the time. Sounds great brother. Keep em coming.
This is SO good. I feel like some "lost tapes" of the Doors were found and just now being released. Phenomenal work!
Good Lord, the mash-up I never knew I needed. Now I've listened it 10 times. Well done!
It ends up just being a Type O Negative song
Type O best band ever
Was just about to write that
😂. Good one!
Blasphemy
Hahaha. Genius. It totally does.
I can definitely hear Jim Morrison singing this and I love it, this is awesome and I love those chorus harmonies. Very Doors-y, great job man
this is actually GREAT!! sounds like something off a 90s soundtrack!! kinda Type O sounding too
Very type o feel going on for sure.
i rolled my eyes when i saw this and put off watching it for days, but... holy shit. this is wild, you completely nailed it. i don't think i ever noticed the similarities to 'When The Music's Over', pretty cool. the vocals were perfect, lol
OMG, this sounds like an actual Doors song. Great job with this.
Because it practically is When The Music’s Over but with the enter sandman riff over it.
Speechless…perfect homage to two great bands…pure genius! Kudos to the drummer too, he nailed it!
Awesome! The Doors' sound and Enter Sandman's lyrics really pair well together, and really nailed that iconic organ/keyboard sound. Definitely hear the song references, and can't help but hear a little Riders on the Storm in there too.
And a little bit of When the Music's Over.
This is an amazing cover! Thank you for posting.
A really awesome tune. Sounded as a cool mixture of When The Music is Over on the verses and Gloria in some parts of the chorus.
Amazing cover.
out of all the channels that do the "what if X wrote Y", i think you are the best and most talented of them all. you have an amazing ability to understand each band's essence and apply it to other music thanks to an incredible level of music knowledge. i'm so glad i found you in this ocean of content, thank you for making this for us ❤
This works so well...truly amazing! Well done!
This is awesome! Two of my favourite bands in one! Thanks for sharing!
Denis you have really opened the doors of perception!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is genius man. The organ and that vintage slapback reverb on your vocal just sealed the deal 🤘🏻
Another excellent cover I didn’t know I needed!!
An amazing reinterpretation of the song with a very clever contrivance.
Now let us invent a time machine and give this song to the Doors and see what they can do with it.
Hauntingly accurate. Definitely worthy of subbing. That was awesome.
That intro is just... chef's kiss
Mr. Sandman risin.
Yep, 5 seconds in and I'm like, 'yep, best thing I heard all day'.
I was getting Smashmouth vibes at first
@@Dwightpower88, hey now, you're a Sandman, get your game on, go play.
I was hearing 'Soul Kitchen'
My mind is blowing! Such an amazing job...
I didnt know I needed this until right now. Awesome job! It's unreal how this captures both the Doors and the song so well!!
Holy crap Denis, I think you have finally outdone yourself. That guitar sound and the 60's style psychedelic keyboards makes this song sound eerily haunting but yet melodic as can be. Bravo sir, well done.
Wow! I didn’t know I needed this. But here we are. This is incredible.
Very cool !! I love it you're really talented, thanks for sharing this
Solid effort. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Really well done! Never imagined this song could sound like this.
Growing up as a Huge doors fan. Then later metallica in High School this is phenomenal it almost sounds like a real The Doors song. Very well done 🤘😎
I’ve been seeing this video on my CZcams feed for a couple weeks. I finally tapped it and I’m glad I did. Nice job very impressive how you did this. Jim Morrison is smiling.
Absolutely fantastic job brother...
Word up! This is hypnotizingly... Awesome! thanks for creating and sharing doggie
Wow.....I wouldn't have thought this is possible if I didn't watch it for myself.....I literally could not distinguish this sound from the original music. What a fantastic gift.....thank you.
I had to hear it to. Awesome.
Wow I love it
Awesome job!!! Loved it
Well done Dennis! You always knock it out of the park man!
My mind is Riding the Lightning Snake with this tapestry. Just goes to show that When the Music's Over you can only Hit The Lights.
I like what you did there.👍
@@sanstache2529 Merci!
I will Seek and Destroy any comment that doesn’t have a pun in The End.
@@mikekolokowsky Bowing in reverence!
I love how you keep these iconic bands alive 🤘
Well their own music does that but this is cool.
Great job!! Sounds great
Definitely liking the tone and feel. I also see the “Type O” comparison…. this is really good, well done!
You should do Danzig covering The Doors!! I honestly feel like any Doors song would fit
Doornzig
I think it's When The Music's Over and She Rides, but there are songs by both with almost identical riffs. Imagine Danzig doing End Of The Night!
Oh it might be Five To One
@@bathory5026good choice
Light my mother
'When The Music's Over' and 'Soul Kitchen' I thought in the first two seconds, a spot on WTMO tone that is playing the Kitchen motif, and its amazing how well it ties in with the Sandman riff. Fantastic vocal performance, but most of all the Krieger-style playing is so amazingly spot on. Finger plucking and getting THAT tone. Fantastic. Fantastic.
I was thinking, Back Door Man
And gloria..
Fantastic work!!!!
Simply marvellous, thanks for mixing both of my favourites bands
Why does this work so perfectly? Great job, dude!
Glad you like it!

Appreciate this, thank you so much! 🤘🏻
I think you nailed it!!!!! That was from awesome man THANK YOU
Absolutely fantastic job! Nailed it!
I literally laughed out loud at how good the opening is, well done :D
Me too!
This works so well. I can imagine Morrison explaining the song in a BBC interview and discussing who the sandman is at a metaphysical level.
Absolute perfection. You never disappoint, man!
Awesome job, my dude. You nailed it!
The Doors are probably my favorite group of all time, even though Morrison died a year before I was born, but man, this sounds so much like what you'd expect from them ... awesome job, man!
As a live long Doors fan, I like this version alot better. Great job replicating their sound.
well done man, sounds great!
Absolutely fantastic, greatly impressed wow
you f'n nailed it to the wall dude! awesome job!
I feel guilty saying I like this better than the original but...
I like this better than the original. This is fantastic!
This is awesome thank you
That was awesome!!
Dude. I’m an old school Punk Rock. Metal Head. But the Doors has always been top 5 band for me. You’ve done a great job. Definitely sounds like the Doors. 👍👍👍😜🤪✌️🤟🤙
You totally captured the Doors vibe.I love it!
Brilliant job. You've captured the doors sound dong this spot on.
Sweet rendition. I wish you would have done if ZZ Top wrote Enter Sandman. I keep hearing Dusty's vocals in all your vids. 😅
Thank you so much! Will do that one for sure!
@@DenisPaunayeah your zz top does kill em all is still my favorite. Have you considered reversing it and doing Metallica plays tres hombres?
I like Metallica, but the greatest is The Doors! And... this is perfect!!!! 😮😮😮❤❤❤
Thats Awesome!! Good job!
Added to Playlist.. badass work
this is incredible
Thank you so much!
This was awesome!
Brilliant! My new favorite version! 🤘🏻
Great job man, works so well. Hearing it sang in the style of Jim makes the lyrics sound more poetic with a story/journey.
Wow! You guys have done your homework. You really captured the essence of the DOORS. Thank you! I miss hearing them and you sent me right back to the 70's. Excellent job Denis.
